Instinct Dog Behavior & Training, New Jersey and Philadelphia

We had an amazing experience with Instinct. Meg Byrne was our in home trainer and we cant thank her enough. We have a very fearful young female pug named Tata. She was a breeder pug and came to use very anxious and frightened of just about everything. Meg helped us develop tools and a strategic approach to help Tata acclimate into our family. Watching her transform over the weeks into a member of our family with Megs support has made such a huge difference for all of us. Thanks so much.

I have had a wonderful experience bringing my dog here. I have worked with Amber as the trainor for Bear who has struggled with significant reactivity and some aggression issues and he has improved immensely since working with Amber. We went from a hesitant, fearful, and shy dog to the big goof who can now overcome his fears at a faster pace than we thought possible. He has grown more brave and more open to new experiences and people. While we still have plenty of work to do with him, he can now be boarded and enjoy boarding as well as we have learned most of his triggers and how to work around or through them so he can be less fearful. We would have been incredibly lost and Bear would never have shown us how wonderful and goofy of a dog he is if it werent for the team here.

I have a very anxious puppy, she’s a mini Australian shepherd. She’s terrified of everything especially people. Our family had a scheduled 10 day trip and I was so nervous I didn’t know what I would do with her and who could possibly watch her. My goal was to get her trained and have her boarded. I had several attempts at training before getting to instinct. My vet recommended their program. They got my pup acclimated before we decided to do a 3 week board and train. It was the best decision I ever made. I received constant pictures and updates. Participated in conference calls. They really worked on training her and made she we were fully engaged as well. Our trainer Emma was amazing. Really understood our pups needs and stayed focused not just on the training plan but what our pup needed. We even did at home sessions after. Overall it was a great experience and I’m so glad we found instinct. It was the best decision for our family. I wish we had gone to them sooner! I highly recommend!
