We can’t say enough good things about Meg from Instinct! We sought help in managing our reactive rescue pup who is often scared and on guard. From day one, Meg was calm, compassionate, and incredibly knowledgeable. Meg provided us with the tools and confidence that we needed to help manage her at home and around our apartment building. Meg helped us to navigate the day-to-day challenges of managing a reactive dog and a toddler, helping us to set up boundaries for each of them. One of the most important things Meg did was help us uncover that part of our dog’s reactivity was linked to chronic pain. She encouraged us to get her evaluated, and sure enough, she needed pain management. Once we started to address that, her behavior started to improve. We are beyond grateful — our dog is happier, we’re less stressed, and our whole family is in a better place because of this experience. Highly, highly recommend Meg Byrne to anyone who wants a trainer who genuinely cares and goes above and beyond.

We’ve been going here since 2019 with our reactive dog and plan on continuing to do so. Have not had a negative experience with any of the staff here with any of our training lessons or with behavioral boarding. Highly recommend seeing Meg, who is thorough and very knowledgeable when it comes to handling dogs with reactivity issues. Our dog shadow stayed at Instinct for 8 nights (the longest he has ever boarded) and we were frankly a little nervous. He had a bad situation at a different boarding place a few years back and since then I’ve been really apprehensive about leaving him in the care of non-family. Instinct went above and beyond for him. They noticed signs of anxiety and gave him his as needed medication and he had such a successful stay because of their attentiveness to each dog’s behaviors. Since all dogs must complete training before staying, I feel confident knowing they take the safety and health of the dogs very seriously. He will so happy to go back and was so excited to show me his new friend Chelsea when we picked him up! Thank you Instinct!
