Innovative K9 Academy

I cannot say enough good things about Innovative K9 Academy. They are amazing. David was great to talk to and helped me to decide which training program was best for my dog Otis. We rescued him when he was young and unfortunately he had trauma in his life before coming to us. He often snapped at me and my husband and we did not trust him and were worried he might bite us or someone else. He went to Innovative K9 for 25 days and came back a much happier, more confident and very obedient dog. His trainer Joe is amazing. He has a special place in my heart. Not only did he train Otis to be obedient he focused on building a relationship of trust. Otis loves Joe and therefore loved his training. While Otis was in training I was sent several videos a week of him in training. This was incredibly helpful in understanding how to work with him when he came home and it was also I huge relief to see him doing so well. The videos were the hightlight of my day while he was away. The other fantastic thing about Innovative K9 is they continue to support you once you pick your dog up. Anytime I have a question I can still call and they are happy to help. They also offer group training twice a month to keep your skills going and to help with any issues you have along the way. For us it was a stretch financially but having the continued education makes it so worth every penny. I am so grateful and so glad we gave this opportunity to Otis. Recently I boarded Otis with them and it was a great peace of mind knowing he was somewhere that he is comfortable and being well taken care of plus a good refresher on how to behave. I am so grateful to this organization. They transformed my dog into a family pet that we are no long afraid of. I truly don't know what I would have done without them. Joe is the BEST!! We had the best experience having our puppy trained with Innovative K9. Our rambunctious German shepherd Jagger attended the 18 day program and came back so obedient and well mannered. A few of my favorite skills he came back with are: he is amazing on leash, instantly recalls, and no longer tries to pick on our older dog. Leaving your dog for an extended amount of time can be a bit daunting, but rest assured that your dog will be well cared for with these guys. Jake was the trainer that spent the most time with Jagger and there are only positive things to say about him. He sent many videos of Jagger and his trainings. My kids loved watching them while Jagger was away, and the videos are also great to look at while continuing his training at home. In the videos we could see all the praise and care Jake gave to Jagger and that was so reassuring to know that he was in good care. If you are considering using Innovative K9 for your pups training, do it! We are so happy with how Jagger’s training has gone so far, and we are excited to keep using them for future training and boarding.
