Imprinted Paws

Valerie and her team at Imprinted Paws do absolutely incredible work! Our golden retriever, Sunny, has worked with Valerie during private training sessions and most recently completed the two week board and train program. The team established new routines and expectations with Sunny during her stay and then showed us what we should be doing at home to keep up the good work. Sunny is now keeping pace with us during walks and there is no pulling on the leash. Most impressive is the way that using the place board has allowed her to calm herself when visitors come to the house. There is no more crazy running around and jumping up on people. Thank you for giving Sunny routines that allow her to show her best behavior and for showing us that being consistent with them has made our relationship with her so much stronger.

I sent my dog to Imprinted Paws for some desperately needed training, and I am so pleased with the results. He was a terror going in, a longtime stray in his first home. He had no experience being a house dog and struggled with basic obedience. Animals he saw in the yard sent him into a frenzy. I was afraid to even try walking him in case we ran into another dog, a cat, squirrel-anything really. He grabbed things off the kitchen counter regularly and by the time we sent him to training he was starting to display aggression regularly. He came back to me a new dog. I was stunned at the change, and after being home for a month he is still doing extremely well. I was afraid he might return to his old ways, but that hasn’t been an issue for us. The trainer who worked with him helped to educate me about what I had been doing wrong and what I needed to be doing going forward. He was very thorough and took extra time to make sure that any questions I had were answered. I have followed his advice with wonderful results. I would highly recommend Imprinted Paws to anyone with an animal in need of training.

My wife and I just dropped off our pup for the 3-week board and train program. We were nervous about the entire process, but Valerie was nothing less than AMAZING. She is as 'real' as they come, and we appreciate her for that. Her knowledge about the profession is so impressive and we couldn't be more thankful we chose Imprinted Paws!
