I couldn’t recommend a better dog trainer! I had hit a wall with my dog and struggled to understand some of her quirks. Cortnie and Jay helped me break down her behaviors so I could better understand and strengthened my bond with her. I didn’t think it possible for my dog to love another human being as much as she loves Cortnie, and for me, that’s a true testament to how much energy, passion, and joy that goes in to each and every one of the dogs there. Their new foundations class, for humans only, is a great way to have a sneak preview into what it means to send your pup to I Love Your Dog LLC, as well as you getting to chip away at the tip of the iceberg into how cool dogs are, and make you consider how you interact with not only yours, but all dogs. My wife and I took our 8yo blue heeler Banjo to Cortnie for 5 weeks. Banjo was dog reactive as well as SEVERELY reactive in the car. Cortnie worked with our boy over that time and continually gave us feedback on how best to bring our Banjo back home. Whether it was the homework or the continual feedback/updates, we were ready to bring our boy back home. The difference in overall calmness in Banjo, as well as his reactions in the car have been AMAZING! Cortnie’s attention to detail in training and hours that she put in made our Banjo boy a VERY happy pup! Best part of all of Cortnie’s training are the tips that she gave us to ensure our boy will continue to succeed in his life at home. Since he’s been home, he’s less concerned about sprinting out of a door, he now sits and waits for us to give him the “ok” to go and his car rides are no longer deafening as they were before we brought Banjo to Cortnie. Overall, I would recommend Cortnie and her training at I Love Your Dog to ANYONE who need a little help with their pup, or in our case, a refresher course for a trained dog.

Working with Cortnie at ILoveYourDog was (and is) an incredible experience. We appreciate her no nonsense, yet completely non judgemental, approach to working both with the dog & owners. We felt comfortable not only leaving our reactive dog with her for several weeks while she worked with him, but also in being completely honest with her in regards to our current struggles & home dynamic with our dog. She sent plenty of updates & recommendations through our dogs stay with her, and has worked wit us to come up with measurable and attainable goals for our dog over the next few weeks he is back home with us. This training wasn't just for our dog - it was for us too. We cannot recommend Cortnie enough to anyone who needs a professional dog guru with a real life approach that helps everyone involved be set up for success.

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! I Love Your Dog LLC has completely changed our lives! Cortnie Cuellar and her husband Jay dedicated themselves to training, engaging with, and loving on our dog, Chico, for the six weeks that he was with them for his board and train program. We were struggling with a hyper, energetic Goldendoodle and we just didn't know how to communicate with him about what we were expecting. It became very difficult to live with our dog, let alone enjoy him! Cortnie not only taught Chico, but she also taught us how to communicate and interact with him and to make it a very balanced relationship where we get what we want from him but we also give him opportunities to be a dog and do what he wants at the right place and time. Chico seems so much happier to have these boundaries in place and we really enjoy putting time into him to ensure that he gets his time to do what he wants and to satisfy his needs. Cortnie has changed our mindset about Chico and has helped us to see life through his eyes a little bit more. Chico is so well behaved now. We have already taken him to a couple public places and even had him off leash at a park and he did great. We felt so confident about his behavior and not embarrassed about him being there like we used to be! He walks so well on a leash now without pulling at all. He doesn't jump up on the counter or on people anymore at all. We almost can't believe that this is the same dog! His personality is still there but his energy is harnessed and much easier to work with. We are so grateful to Cortnie and Jay for all they have done to change our relationship with Chico! Chico is already going back for boarding with Cortnie and Jay very soon and we fully trust that he will have the very best while he is there with them! Cortnie is the ABSOLUTE BEST dog trainer! My family and I just got a cockapoo puppy and since this is our first time having a dog, we decided to enlist her help to ensure that we knew how to properly train and raise our pup. We are so glad we did! Cortnie has dedicated her home and her property of 14 acres to training and caring for dogs - from puppies to older dogs to rescue dogs in need of love and rehabilitiation. We dropped off our puppy to her three weeks ago before we left to go out of town for the holidays. We returned to a calm, well cared for, potty trained and crate trained pooch. I have never raised a puppy before and it has meant so much to me and my family that Cortnie is both training our dog while teaching us how to best care for her. We’ll also be taking our pup to her throughout the year for continued training as she gets older. We can’t wait! Cortnie will truly LOVE YOUR DOG ❤️🐶 as she loves her own!
