I have a puppy that has 6 weeks,but I want to know if my dog can start training and how much it costs.
Karen, the earlier you can begin training the better. Yes, you can begin training a puppy at 6 weeks. Crate Training and Basic Obedience: COME, SIT, HEEL on whistle, hand signals and verbal commands. I have had hunting dogs all my life. Many different breeds depending on the birds I was hunting. Now that I am a “retiring” hunter I wanted a great retriever and close companion so I contacted John Tate after having been referred to him. I could not be any happier with my male yellow lab. The retrieving is of course in his blood and John had him retrieving out to +/- 40 yards as a puppy. He was taught all the basic obedience commands easily. I also have him finding and bringing antler sheds on my ranch. He is a wonderful companion both in the field and at home. Many thanks John!
