Huffman K9 Obedience

I signed up for 10 training classes at Huffman for my 9 month old German Shepard. She went in a skittish, reactive, non crate trained dog that I could not even walk without feeling nervous she would attack other dogs. After just a few visits, she was crated trained, walking with me perfectly and listening like I did not believe was going to even be possible. We worked with Alan and he was amazing. He doesn’t just train the dog, he trains you how to deal with the dog and how to build confidence in your ability to train the dog. I would highly recommend Huffman and we will definitely be going to refresher courses and group classes to keep up on the great lessons!!

After adopting a new rescue dog and discovering we had some work to do (leash reactivity, high prey drive, nervous energy), I searched for a reputable trainer. I’m so happy I went with Huffman K9. I have learned so much from my private lessons with Allen as well as Jensen and the other trainers in the group lessons. Every one of them are highly skilled and knowledgeable in dog handling/training! I feel competent and confident with my dog now as our relationship grows. I have been with Huffman K9 for at least 5 years, beginning with my 3rd. Search Dog working in trailing as well as HRD. What we learned and put into practice was immeasurable, as well as fun for us as a team. I am currently working with Jensen with my very reactive rescue dog and we are slowly going down a respectful path, both dog and human. For me, Huffman K9 offers the best grounded, knowledgeable and thoughtful approach to training for both dog and handler.... best of both worlds in my 25 or so years of working with dogs and trainers.

If you have a dog you want to be able to take anywhere with no issues, no matter what its temperament, I cannot recommend this trainer highly enough. From family pets to police K9, drug, protection, human remains detection, they do it all. Jenson has taken one of his dogs and assisted in the Texas river flooding recovery and then to Haiti. Hillsboro police has one of their dogs. My dog was trained for mobility assistance service dog to help with my MS balance problems. He can go anywhere. We currently have a five mo old rescue GSD mix in training. She will be non dog reactive and have good manners when done. Any problem dogs can be helped. No matter what. None are turned away.
