Huffman K9 Obedience

My husky became aggressive after her first heat. Scary aggressive to other dogs. After 3 trainings with Huffman k9, Harley became more tolerate and was able to be in the same space with other dogs without becoming aggressive! Plus she stopped trying to escape on walks on walks and every day interactions were so much better. This was an awesome experience for me, I am an experienced dog owner. Highly recommended!

I went from a reactive dog to walking through home depot without a problem. If you saw my girl you would know how big of a deal it is. I tried a couple trainers before I went to huffman K9 Obedience. I kept going back and forth about wanting to spend the money it costs for training, just to have it fail like the other times. What sealed the deal for me was going to Elite Protective films and speaking with the owner. She had a Corso like we did and it was well behaved. She showed me some scent work she was doing and I decided in that moment I wanted to give Huffman K9 a try. After just the first session that is mostly evaluation and learning I went home and already saw a difference. We immediately signed up for the recommended amount of sessions. I am blown away by the professionalism and how much we learned. They train people and the dogs. I highly recommend them and if you are willing to put in work, its 1000% worth the investment.

When we first brought Kida to Huffman K9 I was ready to put her down. We could not find anyone in our community that had the ability/willingness/education/experience to train us on how to correct Kida's biting (not nipping but biting, puncturing, blood, etc.). We were told to wait until after she was spayed to see if that would calm down her temperament. One place suggested we take her to a dog psychologist and see if there were any medications she should be put on. The trainer we were working with told us that rehoming her was our best option. Huffman K9 was her last hope. After our last training session on Wednesday, nearly a year after we started training, we left Huffman K9 with a dog that was happy and confident. We also left with the tools we need to make sure she continues to be happy and confident. The reality you gave us is one I never thought we would find. Kida allows us to touch every part of her body without using her teeth to tell us she doesn't like the touches. We pet her muzzle, boop her nose, pet under her chin, grab her tail, grab her legs and paws all without reservation that we will get bit. The other week at group training Trey put Kida on his back and she didn't even complain. Tonight Jared pushed Kida out of her comfort zone by holding her paw after Kida was put into a sit or down on a barrel. Kida complained, but not once did she even try to bite Jared.
