HUDSON'S CANINE KENNELS

I heard about Hudson Kennels from my co-worker who took his pup there for the five week board and train program. Finally, after listening to my co-worker brag for a couple of weeks about how good his dog’s behavior was, I decided to check out their website. I was very impressed with what they had to offer and went on yelp to read the reviews. That sealed the deal for me! Another great incentive to take your dogs to Hudson’s Kennels is their payment plan option. My dog, Maverick, is a three-year-old lab with more energy than the sun. He’s a great dog as all labs are, but he is such a spaz when he goes on walks and when people come to visit. We did the Pet Smart 1hr a day for a week program when he was one which taught him some basic commands, but all he got out of that program was to learn to sit for five seconds. My wife was a little hesitant when I told her Mav was going to be gone for a couple of weeks for training, but after getting some bad reports recently from his play group coordinator she decided it was best. Let’s just say Maverick came back a better version of himself. Meaning he is still -the same energetic, fun-loving, happy go lucky dog, but when he hears the commands he snaps to attention and finally listens. I think one of the best commands is the “place” command which teaches your dog to stay in one spot until you tell him its ok to get up. This works amazing when we have people over at the house. He used to be all up in everyone’s business and now he just lays down and chills like a good boy. Thank you Robert and Joe for the awesome training and to the entire staff at Hudson Kennels!

Honestly, I was so scared to leave my dog Lulu for the 2 week boarding and training only because she has a hard time leaving me and she came out to be amazing!! The trainer updated me so much and Lulu love her trainer this was the best experience. I picked up lulu today and she is much calmer and she listens so good now. You just have to be consistent what they teach your dog to do because it really works. It helped lulu so much. Lulu suffers from high anxiety and separation issues and now she is one amazing dog!
