Hope Retrievers

Kelli is as good of a dog trainer as you will find. I have a two year old black lab that has been through her puppy academy and gun dog training. The results I have experienced are excellent. Kelli gets great results by building relationships with the dogs. Her retrievers enjoy what they do and your dog will come back from Hope Retrievers well trained and, most importantly, happy. Kelli maintains clean kennels, is focused on the health and well being of your dog, instills a desire to please in your dog, and is accessible for training tips after you dog returns home. I have had a relationship with Kelli and her family for two years while she has trained my dog and I can honestly say I have never had a complaint, have developed a good friendship, and have a well trained dog that has been the best dog in the field every time I have hunted him.

We took our male yellow lab to Hope Retrievers for puppy academy and gun dog training. Kelli is a natural dog whisperer! The facility is very nice, the kennels are kept clean and they take excellent care of the dogs. Our dog was collar conditioned, socialized and finally fully potty trained after puppy academy. We immediately noticed a positive change in him when we got him home. He was able to walk on a leash without laying down or playing with the leash and he learned how to interact with other dogs. Around 6 months we took him for gundog training. During gundog training he, and we, learned his commands and how to use them in the field. Kelli lets you come visit your dog during the training, so you can learn how to give commands and the expectations for your dog when they are working in the field and when they are just being a well mannered family pet at home. Gun dog training also helped us to see how we can focus his drive and energy! We look forward to using Hope Retrievers again in the future!

Hope Retrievers is a wonderful kennel, and Kelli is an amazing trainer! I have been very impressed with her ability to communicate, which is something I found to be lacking at other trainers I've had. She has also done an excellent job getting my Golden Retriever to the Senior Hunter level and got him his Senior Title! My dog always comes back to me happy and healthy, and is always progressively better than when I dropped him off. I highly recommend giving them a try to see the results for yourself!

I cannot say enough good things about Hope Retrievers and specifically Kelli herself. When I first met Kelli and saw the way she handled the dogs, I was sold immediately. She has been patient, not only training Woody, but also taking the time to make sure I was solid in what Woody needed from me to be successful. Each session began with teaching me how to properly command other dogs that were more advanced and then I would get to run Woody. She has a great program and it is obvious that this is not just a job for Kelli, but also a passion. Plus, he is so well trained that my 10 yr old can handle him with ease. I highly recommend Hope Retrievers!
