When I came to him I had basically no knowledge of or connections to the hunting world; just a desire to learn and a brittany pup who loved to point. He has made bird dog training and hunting feel so accessible, and has been invaluable in helping me mold my boy into a competitive field trialer.

Barratt is a master at both training pups and getting them excited about birds. He has a passion for training that no other kennel can replicate. Spends tons of time with the dogs, is patient with their individual needs and best of all produces the best dogs out there. Not only is he a top notch trainer, but he is also a great guy. He is willing to do whatever it takes to help. Its a no brainer, if you are in the market for a dog trainer you can trust, Barratt is your guy. I cannot recommend him as a trainer or a gentleman enough.
Barratt is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to bird dog training and dog training in general. I left my WPG pup with him for 1 month and have already seen success in the field. Highly recommend if you have a gun dog you are starting.

After having zero success trying to get my young GWP pointing birds, I decided it was time to get some professional help and reached out to Home Field Training. After my first phone call with Barratt, I knew he was the right guy. After dropping my dog off, Barratt was in constant contact with me. He would send texts, photos, videos, and phone calls updating me on the progress they were making. He allowed me to come to his training field and taught me things I could do to help my dog once he got back home. My dog is doing so much better after his training. Barratt is super easy to work with and truly just wants to help you and your dog. Barratt’s Setters are also top notch dogs!
Had a pup that we were just to busy to train. Reached out to Barrett. You had the pup for only 3 weeks and has him pointing and holding like an older my older dogs. Barrett did a fantastic job!
