Home Field Training and Kennels

I was put in contact with Barratt through another dog trainer/guide friend because I was looking for a started English Setter. I met with Barratt at his place twice to work the dog then took her home. I have been working her on pigeons and wild quail ever since and cannot wait to hunt her this fall. She will be heading to Montana with Barratt this fall to polish her skills on Huns and sharptails. Barratt did an amazing job with Sweet Jane and she is an incredible dog both in the house and in the field. Cannot wait to hunt this dog and breed her as I think she will have beautiful hardworking pups. I recommend Barratt as both a breeder and trainer of amazing gun dogs. If you need a gun dog start with Barratt!

Barratt did awesome training my 8mo old gsp in upland hunting and honing in his obedience training! He regularly updated me through calls, texts, and photos so it was nice to be able to see Bear’s progression throughout the training. He also encouraged regular in person meetings which was awesome! I love being able to be hands on and put the new skills to use. Barratt also did a final in-field session with me and my dad showing us all the ins and outs of upland hunting (as I’m a newbie to the upland work) and we got to see Bear in action. Bear recalls great, walks so much better on a leash, does great in his travel kennel, and loves birds - I’m excited to see him work during the season! Highly recommend Barratt for training!
