Marcus explains his approach to training and gives recommendations using a great combination of methodology and examples/stories. It's clear that Marcus has trained all kinds of dogs and worked with many different kinds of dog owners. For training puppies 6 months and older just be aware that Marcus' standard approach is to use electronic training collars. We were skeptical at first about using electronic collars but Marcus talked us through all our worries and we stuck with it and we're glad we did-especially when it comes to using the "heel" command. In just a few hours, and using a very low setting on the collar Marcus and us were able to teach our 7-month old puppy how to walk safely beside us using "heel." After a little more practice I can now take the dog for walks and barely use the collar at all.

For more details read on We have two dogs, one a "Mastador" which is a lab mastiff mix and one pure bread lab. We also have a household with lot of children and plenty of family oriented chaos. We had little control over the dogs and needed help. We called probably four different trainers and none seemed to have solid answers for us, and most didn't really seem to care they just wanted another client (some wouldn't even take a phone call with out payment). We are able to walk them around our neighborhood off leash, they are easily 'placed' when we have visitors come to the house, and they listen to commands given to them by anyone in the household.
