Joe has done an excellent job training our dog, Johnny, as well as me and my wife on how to better our pup’s behavior. We boarded him with Joe for 4 weeks and then had 4 follow-lessons. I was greatly satisfied with the updates we received and was amazed by the transformation in our dog. Johnny used to tear up the house and lash out due to his severe separation anxiety, but after training with Joe he’s much more calm, confident in himself, and receptive to our commands. And since training with Joe we know how to best approach introducing our dog to new environments and stimulation. Joe has been such a blessing to us and I’m sure he can be for you too.

If you’re wondering whether Hodge K9 is worth, let me just say this: before training, my dog Johnny was basically a tiny furry wrecking ball with anxiety. He ate everything. Baseboards. Car door handles. My will to live. We sent him to Joe for a four-week board and train, and I’m not exaggerating when I say he came back like a completely different dog. He’s calmer, more confident, and actually listens. He goes in his crate willingly (a true miracle) and hasn’t destroyed a single piece of property since coming home. I don’t know what kind of magic Joe worked, but I’m convinced he speaks fluent “dog therapy.” 10/10 would recommend Hodge K9. Joe gave me back a version of Johnny I didn’t think existed — one that’s still goofy and sweet, but also somehow… civilized. We were unable to potty train our rat terrier for 5 years. As a result of the constant mess our 10 year old was also going in the house. Thanks to Joe's expert help both dogs now go outside to potty all the time. I told him a year to train them but he said a few months and he was right. What a huge difference in my house. Jimmy is also more confident than he was before. He has always been the happiest dog we have ever had and super smart. Joe taught us how to train him and within a few months he was trained. We did 10 private classes with Joe at Hodge Canine, starting with a consultation where he explained his philosophy: he trains the owners to train their dog. I can’t say enough good things about Joe with Hodge Canine! His approach to teaching is highly effective, and it's clear that he truly knows what he’s talking about.
