On our second visit he was so excited to be back and just loves the pool. He is already moving better and can’t wait to go back.

If you have been doing hydrotherapy with your own dog like at Rocky's retreat is the owner of the dog allowed in the water also here
Currently the owners of all HIP DOG’s canines can sit close to the edge of pool, not in pool, to observe and to encourage their pets to swim and play.

Does this facility offer the underwater treadmill treatment for dogs?
They don't. That would be really neat but they don't. There is a gradual ledge where your dog can walk into the water as well as a ledge about 4ft long on the other side. They would work with your dog in the water letting them kick naturally as well as helping with the occasional massage.

Tom & Kristina are knowledgeable, professional, friendly & caring. When I first brought “Athena” to them for therapy for her arthritis, she had never been swimming & she was 9yrs old. But the pool set-up w/a gently sloping ramp, a life jacket & some urging w/treats, soon had her in the salt water pool. At first she was tense & anxious. It showed. But Kristina sweet-talked her into relaxing & once up on the ledge, a massage & gentle stretches for those poor old joints. That part isn’t so bad. 😊 After many returns, she still isn’t fond of the water, but she likes Tom, Kristina & their assistants. The treats & rub downs are always good. If they can get a non-water-loving, 80lb Mastiff mix to swim, they can help anyone. See pix on their Facebook page of dogs literally leaping into the pool. They are also amazing w/amputee dogs. My vet says swimming is great for Athena as it allows her to use her muscles w/o the strain of her body weight. The other best part is the totally, absolutely reasonable pricing. I definitely feel I get my money’s worth & Athena gets some awesome treatment for her stiff, old bones 🦴 🦴 I cannot recommend them highly enough. 🥰

Christina, Tom and all their assistants are fantastic. We said goodbye to our sweet Cali girl on July 3rd, 2023 after 12, almost 13 amazing years with her. Cali had hip and elbow dysplasia which was diagnosed in 2020 and I can say with 100% confidence that hip dog gave us more time with her. They are the sweetest people and make you feel like family. I miss not seeing them every week but if we ever need hydrotherapy for any future pups they are our #1 pick!
Tom and Kristina are the best. Very caring, helpful and love your dogs like they were their own. Our dogs cannot wait to get to the pool (one hour drive) and run as fast as they can to jump into it. Great needed therapy, exercise, very safe and a good nap afterwards. Cannot say enough!¹ Hip Dog is the absolute best!
Currently bringing our Yorkie.. He has IVDD and vet suggested hydrotherapy. Neo has shown improvement since we began.
