Hillside K9 is hands down the best place I’ve ever taken my dog! From the moment we walk through the door, the whole team makes us feel like family. The care, professionalism, and genuine love for animals here are unmatched. Adilene (Adi) is an absolute grooming superstar — my pup always comes home looking show-ready, smelling amazing, and sporting the happiest tail wag. Kara deserves a huge shoutout too! She’s both a talented groomer and a wonderful kennel tech who clearly treats every dog as if they’re her own. The kennel team is incredible: Jamie is dependable, kind, and always pays attention to the little details that make a big difference in a dog’s stay. Logan, the newest team member, is already fitting right in — you can tell he genuinely cares, which brings a lot of peace of mind as a pet parent. At the front desk, Anya keeps everything running smoothly and professionally. She’s always friendly, organized, and makes booking and check-in a breeze, no matter how busy it gets. And of course, none of this would be possible without Shawn, the owner and trainer. His passion for dogs sets the tone for the entire resort — his training advice has made such a positive difference for us. Hillside K9 is more than just a dog resort — it’s a second home for my son Charlie. He is literally jumping out the window when we pull into the driveway. I can’t recommend them enough!

Hillside was truly a life saver for us!!! In the spring of 2025 I helped rescue some puppies who were dumped in the snow. Despite not having ANY experience with puppies or more active breeds, I knew it was divine intervention so I kept one. Bella. 💖 For several weeks Bella stayed home, calm and unwell, healing from surgery, and learning that she was finally safe. As soon as she was well, I knew she needed socialization and LOTS of exercise. This husky mix loves to play and run! I couldn’t keep up with it alone. Hillside was the perfect place to bring her. We came almost daily and the routine was incredibly helpful to get us through our first summer and while i rehabbed a foot injury and surgery. She learned some manners and made lots of friends. This facility became her second home and her happy place. It’s clean, safe and everyone there is incredibly loving. We are lifers!!

This is the best place to take your dog for training. I have a 4 year old Siberian Husky who was spoiled and would not come back to me, she pulled me on the leash and was a misbehaved dog. I went through one-on-one training with Shawn, the head trainer, and now I have a dog who will heal. She doesn't pull on the leash and she does come back to me when called. She also stays in the yard when the gate is open. She's like a whole different dog. I continue to work with her to strengthen our bond and cement the training we had gone through. She has become a true companion . I highly recommend Hillside K9 academy.
