As a first time dog owner, I needed help to get some very troublesome behavior under control with my super cute and adorable Shih Tzu. I read that they can be very stubborn and hard to train when there was a delay in training them. A friend recommended Gabriela. She raved about how good she was. How knowledgeable. How patient she was with dog owners. Also, she got results and was a great teacher. She is all those things. I feel more confident about altering the negative behavior of my puppy. I love all the information she provides to help owners. She was the best gift I could give to my puppy and to me and my husband.

Love love love Gabriela! I had a different trainer, but our last couple of sessions with them was just not up to our liking. After my partner had contacted Gabriela, he knew immediately that she would be so professional and really get to know our dog. She is an absolute pleasure to work with and she really cares for what is best for your dog. She adapts her training sessions to not only the breed of your dog, but your dog's personality. She sends you resources after every single session, which for a person like me who loves having resources in my back pocket was great. My dog has been having reactive issues, and while he is not perfect, I do see changes that I know will just get better from here. My previous trainer really focused on suppressing and stopping his "bad" behaviors, but she embraces that rewards is the way we can teach our dogs. He is so much happier and I can't wait to see him evolve even more. She is also amazing if you have questions outside of your training sessions. Just give her a quick email and she'll probably call you within the day. As someone who was starting to get stressed about my reactive dog, she really put me at ease. She gave me the tools to succeed and even when I thought there was no progress happening, every time she came back she always assured me that my dog was actually getting better. If you're looking for a trainer that takes her time to know dogs and know you, she is your girl! She knows her stuff!!

I am a veterinarian who, despite having canine behavior experience, required expert help after rescuing an abused puppy who showed high reactivity, resource guarding, and bullying towards one of my other dogs. I could not recommend Gabriela enough!!! She immediately helped us to diagnose the triggers, implement an effective management protocol, and teach us positive training techniques for the multitude of our puppy's behavioral issues. I especially love that her training style isn't "one size fits all", as we've used a combination of classical conditioning, operant conditioning, desensitization, and even fun games that are specifically tailored to each trigger- and that NONE rely on aversive methods. Additionally, Gabriela is very easy to work with, responsive to messages in between sessions, and always honest about when myself, my partner, or another dog is behaving in a way that may be exacerbating our puppy's issues, so I know she truly cares about the well-being of her clients. Lastly, she stays up to date with current literature on canine reactivity / aggression and integrates it into our sessions, which I really appreciate since I know we are receiving the most current training techniques available. Thanks to Gabriela, we were able to help our puppy develop into a more confident and well-mannered dog, as well as ensure all of our dogs live peacefully and happily under one roof, for which we are forever grateful!

I read numerous great reviews online for Gabriela before hiring her and here's another one to add to the list! She is clearly extremely knowledgeable about dogs and prepared with tons of resources and suggestions for each situation you discuss or encounter. She is also very, very encouraging, which honestly I really needed because I was really distressed and worried about our dog's behavior. Our dog was reactive with other people after the isolation of the pandemic. With Gabriela, we learned so many new training techniques and our dog learned tons of new skills. She's like a new dog after our 4 sessions, and she is doing great with other people now. Gabriela is obviously very passionate about her work and loves to help dogs improve and be happier and more comfortable with whatever situations trouble them.
