I'm grateful to Nick for what he was able to accomplish after 2 weeks with George. It's a huge relief to be able to relax and enjoy my dog instead of stressing over his behavior & safety. George was a difficult case - a potent combination of high energy and extreme excitability, along with some anxiety. After 3 months of training using only positive reinforcement, I felt frustrated and hopeless. It was obvious George and I needed a different approach. Initially I was hesitant to switch to a "balanced" trainer, but Nick spent a lot of time with me beforehand, observing George and demonstrating how he works and what to expect. For me it was also a huge plus that George stayed in Nick's home instead of a kennel situation. And Nick was great at keeping me updated on George's progress. I can't imagine having a better experience from start to finish - although with Nick there is no "finish" because he's always available to help. I didn't get a perfect dog back (and didn't expect to) because George and I will have to work to manage his issues for some time. But I've got a great dog, the tools and confidence to continue to build on Nick's work, and the comfort of knowing Nick is there when needed.

Both myself and my dog Oliver had a great experience with Nick. He made it easy and comfortable for us to understand what was needed to obtain our goal of a well mannered and obedient dog. Of course it wasn’t just Oliver being trained but myself as well! I highly recommend Nick as he is both firm and compassionate. Oliver and I always looked forward to our sessions has there was always something new to learn that we could take home and work on having a fairly good grasp on it by the next week. And knowing that if any unwanted behavior should arise in the future Nick will always be there is reassuring!
