Hearts and Paws

Our recent experience at Hearts and Paws Summer Camp was a mixed bag. While there were some positive aspects, there were also areas that fell short of expectations, leading to our decision not to return. On a positive note, I would like to acknowledge Diana, the owner of the camp, for her occasional acts of kindness and friendliness. These moments were appreciated and demonstrated her care for the campers. However, it is important to note that consistency in creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is crucial for the owner of a summer camp. Unfortunately, our experience with the camp counselors was unusual. While it is expected for every camp to have its unique style, the behavior displayed by the counselors at Hearts and Paws Summer Camp raised concerns. Their conduct seemed detached and lacking in genuine warmth. This left us questioning their level of engagement and dedication to the campers’ well-being. Based on our experience, we have made the difficult decision not to send our child back to Hearts and Paws Summer Camp. We believe that a consistent and supportive environment is essential for a positive camp experience, and we did not feel that it was fully present at this camp. In conclusion, our experience at Hearts and Paws Summer Camp had both positive and negative aspects. While we appreciated Diana’s occasional kindness, the unusual behavior of the camp counselors and the lack of consistent warmth left us dissatisfied. We hope that these concerns are addressed by the camp management to improve the overall experience for future campers.
