Havana Dog Training

We just finished the Puppy Manners course. Our very excitable, energetic English Springer Spaniel, Nia, was 11 weeks old when she begun. We are very happy with our experience. The class content was well explained and practical. Being able to review the material on-line reinforced the content. The staff was professional and always willing to answer questions. The regular reminders about classes exemplify how things worked efficiently. We and our pup benefited from the five-week sessions. My husband and I are now on the same page regarding how to train her. We also have established a routine for when we train her. Nia has benefited from meeting other pups and people and the stimulus of regular training. The thing that helped us most is understanding how to get Nia to relax. Since helping her do this, some of the issues we were struggling with have improved. We highly recommend the Havana Puppy Manners course. Update.... We just finished the five week Advanced Manners course. We really enjoyed the classes with Susan. She clearly knows a lot about training dogs and gave us some helpful tips for struggles with our dog, Nia. Nia is still a young puppy at five months old, but it has been fun seeing things begin to click regarding “heel” and staying in “place.” Also it has been helpful to see that she is not that far behind other puppies her age. We have a long way to go before we can say she is trained, but the help we have had has helped us a lot to know what we need to do. I found the training is very practical. For example, I put a many of the drills into practice as we go for walks, like recall, leave, sit, as well as going in and out of the house without being pulled by her when she is excited. I highly recommend the Havana Advanced Manners course.

We were struggling to train our 5 month old puppy on our own and looked to put him in obedience classes. It was recommended to take him to Havana Dog Training and we’re happy that we did. We’ve seen improvement with him! Our trainer, Ali, has been great. Tucker can be very stubborn and Ali would take time to show us some different techniques to get him to do what we want for training. Ali was also very thorough on showing us and instructions for each trick and would get plenty of time in class to practice and ask questions. There is also online reading that you can do for each week to show what we’ll work on in class for that week. There are videos as well to see what to do and you can ask questions online. We were pleased with our experience with Ali in the Puppy Manners Class. Now on to Advanced Manners!
