Hart 4 Paws Dog Training

This summer my daughter brought home her dream doggy, a sweet and beautiful Corgi. While we were prepared mentally for having a puppy, we were surprised just how stubborn these intelligent dogs are. Life was a bit turned upside down by our new baby, to the point of even wondering if we had a dog with issues. Enrolling in the Hart 4 Paws puppy class has made all the difference in helping us understand the puppy's point of view and psychology in order to respond in positive ways to curb negative behaviors like inappropriate puppy biting, eating everything she finds in our yard, what seemed to be aggressive behavior, and so, so much more. Most importantly, it has helped her develop positive socialization with other dogs and people, so that we have a dog that can be taken anywhere and that interacts well with all people and animals without squelching her natural instincts or spirit. We now have a very happy and well adjusted puppy who loves people and other dogs, knows and responds to sit, down, touch, come, wait, leave it, and drop it, along with many other commands we have taught her using Wendy's positive approach and wealth of knowledge. Wendy has also been helpful in advising us in problem situations like excessive barking, fear of thunder and household noisemakers, and with our other older dogs when introducing them to visiting dogs. We have used Hart 4 Paws for in home one on one's, puppy class, and the next level obedience class and are thrilled with the results!! Wendy has been a God-send to us. We had a very challenging puppy who was easily overstimulated and hard to manage, but Wendy stepped in and showed us how to work with him in a way that he could respond to. She saved our sanity and helped us bond with our dog. Two years later we got a second dog, who is an older rescue, and we called Wendy immediately to help make sure the transition went smoothly. She helped us with the new dog’s separation anxiety and resource guarding, and in no time the two dogs became great companions. There hasn’t been a challenge she couldn’t help us with and we recommend her to anybody and everybody!
