Exceptional Training at Happy Tails! I can't say enough great things about Happy Tails and their trainer, Chris. Many years ago I trained my previous puppy here. I returned because the facility is clean, welcoming, and had a great energy. Chris was incredibly knowledgeable and patient, taking the time to train me as much as Poppy😃 I attended the puppy classes and followed with private lessons. I left each session feeling more confident in handling my dog. I love that I can walk my dog with a loose leash! The puppy classes are very informative and help you to avoid bad behaviors right from the start. They also provide a plan for crate training, potty training, etc... very helpful! The staff at Happy Tails truly care about the dogs they work with. Thanks to them, Poppy is happier, better behaved, and more confident. I highly recommend Happy Tails!

We originally started our journey at the sister company, FitDog. Through the amazing experience there and talking through some tough manners issues we were having at home, our trainer Lindsay recommended Chris at Happy Tails for a training assessment. I must admit, at first there was some hesitance (specifically for my hubby). The owner, Kate, took the time to talk to us both about what we struggling with and between her, Chris and we already knew about FitDog, it seemed like a no brainer! Scariest thing was if my husband and I would be able to do the work at home! The experience was incredible. While difficult leaving your loved pups overnight for an extended period of time, Chris updated us regularly with pics and videos, outlining what he was working on and giving us some realistic expectations of what may be ongoing struggles that we needed to think about how we continue to work on at home. (We also loved getting the little extras from their friends FitDog). We’ve had them home for about a week and we have staying close to our homework, taking notes and committed to an ongoing structure that benefits us and the dogs! Everyone seems overall much calmer and happier with the added structure and u seats ding the expectations. It’s helping us all flourish. Chris has been amazing… encouraging us to ask questions and send pics and videos before our next session. He even checked in on them while he was on vacation 🥹 he has built an incredible relationship with both of them and has helped our relationship with them flourish.

My 9mo old puppy completed a 3wk residency program after he began showing signs of fear aggression. His trainer, Chris, immediately bonded with my very anxious pup which put my mind at ease from the very beginning. The program was fantastic. Not only did my dog get basic obedience training, Chris helped him work through things that caused him stress (strangers, other dogs, being on a leash, etc). Chris also taught me strategies to help my pup deal with anxiety at home. After Happy Tails Residency, as my pup was still having some trouble with confidence, Chris recommended some FitDog sessions which have proved to be so beneficial!! Chris and the entire Happy Tails staff have always been so supportive with any issues/concerns I have had and are amazing with my fur baby. To this day, Chris, Lindsey, and Sara (FitDog instructors) are some of his favorite people… and he’s pretty selective on whom he chooses to interact with. I highly recommend Chris for anyone who has a furry best friend in need of a little help with anything from basic obedience all the way to aggression concerns. Trust me, it will be one of the best things you can do for your dog!
