FirstBarkJudy is very knowledgeable, patient and kind. She works with positive reinforcement training, and it's heartwarming to see the dogs in class learn and respond. My dog loves coming to classes--we've taken a variety of them, from puppy school clear through to getting his Canine Good Citizen certificate.

My precious boy Jack & I have had 2 private lessons with Judy, & recently completed her Tricks class. All have been great experiences! Judy has been very encouraging to both of us! She is very knowledgeable, & is able to point out what Jack & I need to work on. Judy communicates well, & responds promptly to questions & inquiries. And, maintains a schedule, including class reminders. Also, she provides a nice class outline, as well as additional training information. I have worked with several dog trainers, off & on over the past 24 years, & I would consider Judy to be 1 of the top 2!
Judy has amazing insights in how my dog learns. My little Emma is a much happier dog and I’m trilled to have acquired the knowledge to continue teaching her to become a happy welcomed member of our Anacortes community.

My dog and I have taken several classes, in addition to private lessons, with Happy Pup Training. Judy is knowledgeable, patient, caring and a strong advocate of positive reinforcement as the most effective process. I agree 100%! As my grandmother used to say "You get more with honey than vinegar." Some things Judy introduced us to challenged our prior thinking but we trusted her and her expertise enough to keep an open mind. As a result of Judy's guidance we have a well-adjusted, well-behaved, confident dog that grows dearer to us every day. I would recommend Happy Pup Training in a heartbeat.
