Happy Healthy Dog Training was a long way from home, which made us a little hesitant. But wow, are we glad we made the drive! We first went to do an initial puppy training with Steve to go over the basics, and from the beginning we were very impressed with his knowledge and his natural interaction with our dog. We left with a folder full of instructions and an offer from Steve to call anytime we had questions. We put what he taught us into practice and quickly saw results. Fast forward a few weeks until he was old enough, and we brought our dog back for Happy Healthy’s week-long training program. Again, we were impressed by how thorough Steve was just to prepare for our dog’s arrival, but that was nothing compared to the actual training. While our dog stayed the week, Steve sent daily pictures and a number of videos showing the progress being made. We were blown away (one of our sons even joked “That’s not our dog.”) We’ve had him back for almost a week now, and we can honestly say that training was worth every penny. We feel like we have the tools we need going forward, and Steve has made it clear that he’s always available to answer any questions we might have. I would 100% recommend Steve to anyone who wants a happy healthy relationship with their dog, no matter the age. My husband and I are first time dog owners and the first week was so overwhelming. Choosing Steve as our trainer was the best decision we could’ve made. From the first interaction with him I trusted him completely. He is so good with dogs and really knows his stuff. Best of all, he is good at training us (the owners) too. My husband and I went from thinking we would never get another dog to feeling that we will definitely get more dogs someday!

This is truly the “mom and pop shop” of dog training. We did a 10 day puppy board and train around 11 weeks old, as well as a 10 day board and train around 20 weeks old. I can’t even tell you how much this helped us, with 3 young kids we found ourselves way in over our heads with a new puppy. Not only did Violet make leaps and bounds, but our whole family learned and benefited from the experience! We also love the positive approach. Steve is seriously amazing and has been there for us every step of the way, even when we’ve needed some extra guidance and fine tuning. He is absolutely amazing with dogs (and humans)!
