Happy Dog Training

I vetted a number of trainers before selecting Ralf to do board and train for my Wheaton Terrier mix. He spoke to me at length prior to me booking the program which most trainers are not willing to do. I like that he is straightforward, highly knowledgable and educated, and compassionate. During the eight weeks my dog was with him he kept in close contact and when I visited you can clearly see his expertise and most importantly his firm, but kind approach with the animals. Ralf is a trainer you can absolutely trust that delivers results.

We contacted Ralf because we have a bully/pit mix. Barney was 4 months old when we sent him for training. He was a rescue and we bottle fed him from 2 weeks of age. Even though we already had small dogs, we felt it was best to get him the confidence and training he needed. Ralf taught him things that he missed learning from his mother. Then he worked on bonding and playing. The training then continued with teaching us how to continue his education and bond with us. This was important because I have shoulder and hip problems and can easily lose my balance with a larger dog. Ralf is an exceptional trainer and I would refer him to all of my friends and see him again for any training needs with future dogs that we may get.

We sent our 4 year old Weimaraner to Ralf for some confidence training. Our 4 year old Weimaraner is very energetic and loves to work. Not only was Ralf very affordable but Ralf provided the training and homework for our Weimaraner to grow into the great family dog that he is today. It is hard to find someone that you trust to care for your dog who is part of your family, since training has concluded we have also used Ralf for boarding which is also very affordable. We would highly recommend Ralf for training as well as boarding.

After speaking with, interviewing and watching 4 or 5 different trainers, I started training my dogs with Ralf Weber in 2017. I liked his approach to training, his knowledge of canine behavior and his positive attitude. I have recommended him to many people since. He is very knowledgeable and experienced, yet very approachable, helpful, understanding and friendly. Questions, whether about training, nutrition, particular dogs, etc, are never dismissed. He always addresses questions in a friendly manner and answers them thoroughly. His patient training methods are very effective. The dogs are never anxious or fearful, but very happy, friendly and sociable. He knows when to push for more, and when a dog has had enough for that session. When training with Ralf, he not only teaches you about obedience training, but also teaches you about dogs in general …… how they think, why they react a certain way and your dog in particular. He speaks to temperament and personality, health issues, nutrition, food, natural supplementation, vaccines, health care, etc. We have worked both my dogs at 6 levels and I’ve never doubted that I made the right choice with Ralf, and I can’t imagine training with anyone else.
