Thanks for your review. You have given us some things to think about. I am sorry that we were not the type of facility you were looking for. For anyone reading Miss Jen's review and wondering about the items she mentions, here is a little bit about Happy Dog. We are a facility with a farm-like atmosphere. Safety is our number one concern for all the dogs in our care. Some buildings on the property are for kennel use, and some are not - dogs are not given free run of the property. The dogs are out for play time in real grass yards that are fully fenced in, and have their own secure kennel while inside. No one is ever off leash outside of the fenced areas. We are very cautious and have many safety protocols in place for times when dogs are on leash. We encourage people to check out our kennels! We like to schedule visits for people so that we can make sure to be fully available to you when you are here. If you arrive for your pup's stay and haven't been able to have a tour, please ask us to see our rooms! We may not have as much time as we would for a scheduled tour, but we are definitely happy to show you your pup's accommodations. We are a busy facility, and taking care of the dogs and their safety is our number one priority! The staff assigned to care for dogs are not always the same ones doing check in or check out. One of the ways that we ensure safety is to fully concentrate on the dog that we are with. Another way that we ensure everyone's safety is to ask our customers to wait in the car with their dogs until our check in staff is ready. This maintains a secure environment for everyone and allows us to maintain our safety protocols. We recently did some remodeling to our kennels to make them brighter and more modern. The construction crew was here working, and did have some of their gear out. All staff were well aware of the construction and related materials and dog were in no way allowed to interact with these items. Our country atmosphere is one of the things that makes Happy Dog unique. We give the utmost care to the dogs that stay with us, both physically and mentally. We love and care for each pup as if they were our own! Always feel free to reach out to us and discuss our facility and ask us any questions.
