Hands down the place to go for dog training. The trainers here are incredibly professional and truly care about the dogs they work with. They use positive reinforcement methods, which made a huge difference for both of my pitbulls. I started with separate one on one behavior modification sessions for each of them, and later joined the weekly group classes. My younger dog needed a bit more help, so I enrolled her in the 4 week behavior modification program and I’m so happy with the progress she’s made. Not only did they help reduce both dogs’ reactivity and aggression, but they also taught me how to be a better and more confident handler. I’m beyond thankful for everything they’ve done for us. Highly recommend!

This is Carmine, our foster who we officially adopted this past Sunday. Carmine was extremely reactive to all people, places, car rides, dogs, birds, planes, etc. This little guy would get so upset at seeing another dog that he would get physically sick. We are grateful that Rescue Ridge recognized that this little guy needed training and suggested we take him to training at Hanlon’s. At Hanlon’s Carmine attended their boot camp where he learned to respond to commands, walk on a leash and most importantly not to be reactivate with other dogs and people. We were so thrilled with the positive results, we then took him to 10 novice classes. I am so thankful that Master Trainer Jess realized Carmine was “special “and took him under her wing. She is an amazing trainer and worked with me one on one through the difficult first few weeks of novice class. As a first-time foster Jess also had the patience to train me on the correct way to hold the lease and how to walk Carmine as opposed to Carmine walking me. Upon completion of novice class, we also attended a few of their pack walks where Carmine proudly walked with dogs ten times his size. On the first night of pack walk we were at the end, about 20’ away from the closest dog. On the third walk Carmine was at the head of the pack. Talk about a success story. During all this training we had the opportunity to work with not only their Master Trainers, Bob, and Jess but many other trainers. They were all so nice, friendly, and good at what they do. They are so passionate about what they do which is what makes them so good at what they do. Carmine was always a happy dog inside. He is now happy and content as he knows a walk outside or a flock of 6 wild turkeys in our backyard will not ruin his day! I highly recommend Hanlon’s Training. It gave Carmine a new lease on life, and we could not be happier or prouder of him. Thank you, Hanlon’s.
