Halo K9 Behavior Consultation

HALO is a small but mighty team. They are very generous towards their clients, providing discounts for rescue situations and opportunities to volunteer in exchange for boarding. I have had some difficulty recieving a response when I call, text, or email. I sometimes have to follow up multiple times in order to hear back about a query. The HALO team memers work very hard and are very empathetic towards the dogs in their care. They go the extra mile to make sure they get lots of play, space, and love--whatever the individual dog needs. I have taken my Dane mix puppy Jack to HALO and we participate in their play groups and obedience classes to work through Jack's leash reactivity, resource guarding, and general insecurity around other dogs. I am particularly impressed by their one trainer Rachel Reed, who has helped teach our ACK STAR Puppy obedience class. She offered to work with me and Jack one on one in a private lesson, after a full day of work, on a holiday. I found her very professional and a great communicator. She always texted me back within 24 hours and was intentional about answering my questions thoroughly, as well as helping me understand training approaches that would help calm my anxiety and Jack's.

We have loved our time with Regina and her staff. Our puppy started displaying some unwanted and painful behaviors. We tried a trainer first and while helpful, was not helping the biting issues we were having. Regina and all the trainers there have been wonderful, knowledgeable, and helpful. We are so thankful we found Halo! I also feel they are the best daycare type place we have found because they still teach the dogs how to interact and give me updates when I pick him up.
