We are a Reward Balanced Certified Dog Trainers by the APDT & CCPDT. We have been training & rehabilitating dogs since 2015. There are so many great things that I can say about Hakuna Matata training! I researched many different training companies, but after speaking with Joselyn for nearly an hour I felt more than comfortable working with Hakuna Matata. She answered all of my questions and demonstrated a deep level of care and knowledge toward Koda's growth. It's been a month since I've had my puppy back after completing the two week board and train program, and there's been a night and day difference.
Prior to training, I struggled with Koda on walks because he'd lunge at other people and dogs and tugged super hard on the leash. It made walks tiresome and stressful. Since training, our walks are so much easier and Koda does a great job following commands! Even when I've had small struggles with walking afterwards his trainer Michael was available to help remediate them with a new technique and reinforced Koda's training with day camp.
I would highly recommend their training, day camp and overall expertise to help with your dog's training!

My 8 month old puppy, Otter, went to Hakuna Matata for the 2 week Puppy Boot Camp and it has made a world of a difference! She has made so much improvement in her crate training, overall obedience, and is an angel on the leash. I am so glad we brought her to Mike and his team. They took such amazing care of her, taught her so much, gave me the foundations, and has continued to help her grow in her training. Highly recommend to anyone.

Scout, my Golden Retriever attended the 2 week puppy training program and all I can say is WOW!! The team at Hakuna Matata made me feel so comfortable giving up Scout for two weeks and I knew he was in the best care. While away, I was sent many updates on his progress from leash training to basic commands. He came back a new dog! I am able to walk him comfortably now and gain back control in our home. I will say a big part of this commitment has to do with me sticking to the training. 10/10 would recommend to anyone with dog! Scout now goes to day care once a week and loves to play and reinforcement training.

Hakuna Matata effectively changed mine, my husband, and my dogs’ life for the better. Before training, they were unwalkable because they are so strong and would pull no matter what. They have come so far with verbal commands & calmer behavior and I am so proud of them and happy with the results of their training!

Extremely thankful for Mike and Joslyn for assisting us with our dog Cannon. Cannon did 2 weeks at board in train for the adult modification program and he is such a more calm and manageable dog now. They truly love dogs and our dog always is so excited to board with them. Mike is truly and expert and Joslyn is a phenomenal coordinator and always sends us updates. We are forever grateful!
