It all started in my search for a Diabetic Alert Dog when after endless phone calls I luckily reached out to Haggerty Dog Training in Midland Park NJ. They honestly were the most helpful to give me the best advice in securing the dog of my dreams... I began speaking with Babette who owns the facility as she advised me to get a Labrador Retreiver from Debby Kay at Chilebrook Labs in Harpers Ferry West Virginia who specifically breeds super sniffing pups for prospect service dogs...Babette had mentioned that her daughter Sarah was an aspiring service dog trainer and would love to get my puppy trained at no cost..After speaking with Sarah I knew we would be a perfect fit to start working together for the next year to get my puppy trained..Sarah is a well spoken, professional and passionate trainer who is quite literally following in her mother's footsteps to continue to work with dogs and also works with show horses at a farm is also something she had mentioned. Sarah had helped me through the process with being considered a serious buyer with Debby Kay as her pups are highly sought after.. Both Babette and Sarah are some of the nicest people I have spoken to and have met within the community. Sarah and I began training and I decided that I had to pay her as she continued to let me know any amount would be ok...There aren't many people out there that would do such a helpful task...I greatly appreciate you welcoming my puppy and I for private lessons and look forward to our progress together..You are giving my family and I tools that will save my life and for that I owe you everything..My family and I are forever grateful! This was Nico’s first class and he did amazingly well. After the first class, he was able to heel on a loose leash with distractions. The class size is small which allowed for individual attention for each pup and handler. Babette gave step by step instructions. She is courteous, friendly and attentive. First class and learned so much!

My wife and I rescued a bully mix with severe reactive barking issues. We were considering rehoming him after several complaints to our landlord when we came to Haggerty Dog Training. After working with them hes a brand new dog! Hes wonderful around people,doesnt try to chase after cars and is significantly more obedient around the house. They really did an amazing job teaching us to be more disciplined with him and gave us the tools we needed to provide him a happy forever home. I cant thank them enough
