Gungho Dog Training

Our experience with my Gungho Dog Training was absolutely phenomenal. From the moment we dropped off Moose for his 4-week stay, I was impressed with the level of professionalism and care that was provided. Throughout the entire training process, Cody kept us updated on Moose’s progress and provided detailed feedback on his behavior and training milestones. I could tell how dedicated and passionate Cody & Micah were about helping him improve his obedience and behavior. Sit, stay, heel, and kennel are just a few that have continued greatly since being back home with us. When we picked up Moose after his stay, I was blown away by the transformation. Not only did he have impeccable obedience skills, but his behavior had drastically improved (he actually listens to us!). We’re incredibly grateful for the expertise and guidance throughout the training process. I highly recommend this Gungho Dog Training to anyone looking to improve their dog's behavior and obedience!

Our sweet pup Luna stayed with Cody for his 4-Week long Desired Dog board and train program. Our experience was excellent. Each week we got to visit Luna and saw incredible growth in her skills and confidence. We were able to ask questions and get advice on how to best support her training at home. Now that she is back home with us she has maintained her training and is doing very well. We have taken her on several trails and her recall is fantastic. Her heel/walking is wonderful too and she will actually get into that position naturally when she is tired from running around. She kennels with no issues. We feel really confident taking her places after her training with Cody and Micah and we would recommend their services to any dog owner.

Impressive results! You can really tell Cody and Micah genuinely care for and enjoy the dogs they train and were very kind and patient with our dog (and us). Gungho has a systematic training curriculum and online video course to use as a resource to refer to for sustained results. We got a lot out of working with Gungho dog training. We had weekly visits to educate us on what was being taught and got our dog back with a great foundation of obedience and the tools and knowledge to build upon it. Would definitely recommend!

Oh my goodness, how much can I say after a few classes with Cody & Micah, & two board & train sessions with our Great Dane, Bruno. We also ordered the online course when initially met them. We struggled with crate & potty training from the gate. We were told that he was both when we received him, but clearly not. After 2 weeks of trying to do this on our own, right when my daughter was about to give up, & after investing a few thousand into him, I saw these stellar reviews here & we went to a class with Cody. Shortly after, he took Bruno for almost a month & returned him crate & potty trained. We were relieved! Able to sleep! Then in Nov ‘23 we brought him back for round 2 of the board & train program. He is sooo amazing now! He listens! It’s like night & day! He was pulling my waif of a daughter around prior & now he walks with her & next to her. I would say from 100% difficult level, he’s an honest 90% EASY level now. My daughter is no longer giving up & we learned some extremely valuable tools from Cody & always utilize them since Bruno completed his last month with him. He always answers questions & does follow-ups with us. It is all so worth it. Don’t give up on your babies if you need help. I highly suggest Gungho Dog Training… & get the help that you & your dog deserve. I’m so very grateful to have found them & for the fact that my daughter went from wanting to throw in the towel one day to excited to using their tools… I don’t know what kind of magic Cody did on Bruno but was it ever worth it! They covered other areas as well on topics that we never even thought of & we implemented them as soon as Bruno came home & they work! We know that WE have to continue to do the work that we were taught, but it’s so worth it in the end for us & Bruno. We’re definitely going to use some on our 3 1/2 & 7 year old dogs as well. Important: * We know that Bruno was loved as they told us how they care for the dogs who are trained with them. You can see how much in the way that they speak without aggression & rather with a firm kindness. I can see the way that Bruno loves these two & looks at them with a fondness. We are so lucky to have these two… The kindest people that you will ever meet. So valuable in our community {and outside of our community} & with not just our dogs, but us as clients. Sending our 6-month-old lab, Max, to board and train with Cody is the best money we have ever spent. We are now 4 months post-training and have had an opportunity to fully see and enjoy the benefits of training. We have owned labs in the past and spent a lot of time and money on training elsewhere. The results are not comparable. It is life changing to have a dog that we have complete trust in and control of in any environment. Cody is a master at training dogs and dog owners, and he does it in a way that is enjoyable for all. Our first consideration with boarding and training Max was his wellbeing during training. Will he be well cared for? Yes! Cody loves dogs, is an upstanding person, and makes every conceivable effort to ensure the safety and happiness of dogs in his care. Max loved training and was a happy tail-wagging dog during our joint training sessions (I’m not sure he was ready to come home when training ended). Our second consideration was the results. Will the training be worth it? Yes! We were impressed when we came to visit max after a week of training and each visit thereafter. Then, we were blown away when we picked up Max after 1 month. Max is focused on us, even in high distraction environments. He is completely reliable with the usual obedience commands. Sit and down, will stay on any object with a “kennel” command, can walk off leash in any environment, automatic recall, etc. Beyond the obedience commands, it seems we skipped a year of puppy behavior. Max stopped chewing, stealing shoes, jumping on things and people, etc. I can’t say enough good things. Thanks, Cody.
