I could not recommend GLDT more. I have struggled for years to work with my dog on his reactivity and leash manners, he is cute but very stubborn :) I came to GLDT for help and they delivered more than I could have ever imagined, I feel a freedom that I haven't felt before with my dog. Even just one day home and he was able to walk 2 miles without pulling, barking at other dogs, or doing his common anxious behaviors, he knows just what to do. Throughout his 2 weeks I felt very comfortable because I received timely report cards with pictures each day updating me on his progress and were responsive if I ever had questions. In my go-home lesson , Tyler did an amazing job explaining everything, allowing me lots of time to practice, and answering any questions I had. I could see his genuine connection and care for my dog. Love, love, love what they're doing at GLDT!! Katie did a great job of explaining their methods and how the board and train would work. Once Hazel was enrolled, using the app to pay, and get all info including vax records and expectations to GLDT through the Gingr app was a breeze. They did an excellent job of training and sending daily report cards covering what she learned that day and how she was doing. Returned our calls and answered questions when we inquired about her daily downtime. All the trainers obviously enjoy what they're doing, but special kudos to Trainer Ellory! She has a talent and obviously loves her charges! Her report cards were great in their details and her enthusiasm for Hazel’s training was plain to see. The graduation day training was very helpful. My wife and I were fostering her in search of a permanent home. Me and her now owner went together. Ellory was thorough in covering what Hazel learned, and how it was taught and reinforced. She showed us how and then took us to Hazel. After some free time where Hazel was able to express her excitement at seeing us, Ellory did a demo, then let us take turns. Not perfect she said, but dramatically better. She is a dog after all. After they do the hard work, you will need to reinforce for a few weeks until the new good habits are engrained. The e-collar is included in the cost of training. You are sent home with a cheat sheet and emailed a link to a video tutorial. Life time support is included that transfers over to new owners. My wife and I are glad we did this.

I’m so glad I was referred to Great Lakes Dog Training! They took Dexter in for boarding & training and treated him like one of their own. They treated Dexter with kindness and so much love! For Dexter being so young, he learned a lot from Trainer Ellory, and so did I!! Their daily report cards meant so much because we were able to hear how Dexter was progressing and the pictures/videos of him made our day brighter. Even though those 2 weeks were hard and the house felt empty, I would highly recommend them to anyone. Thank you Ellory and staff! I will update you guys in the near future of his progress!!
