Good Woofer K9

This little girl was a sweet adoption from the Marion County Humane Society. She’s had four names and been passed around. Miss Dolly needed some training for housebreaking at six years old. Jace and Suzanne trained Dolly in two weeks, not only to go outside to use the bathroom but also to understand redirection and pay attention when I talk to her. Before that, she didn’t seem to have a human connection for direction. She is now a loving, happy, Sweet, trained, successful pup. Thank you so much from the Render family.

DO NOT WAIT, YOU OWE YOURSELF AND YOUR DOG THIS, I PROMISE… I have personally known Jace for over a decade now, and while I’ve always been impressed by his training style and skill with horses, I was BLOWN AWAY by the transformation he brought to my less than agreeable dog. If you don’t have time to continue reading, you can stop here and just know that if I could rate this team a 20 out of 5 stars, I would. Now, if you want my personal “full” story, pull up a chair… My dog has been a “problem child” pretty much his entire life. I rescued him as a puppy, and despite doing my best as a then recent college graduate, I did not know what I was doing, and he never seemed to be “normal”. I was never able to get him to crate train, he suffers from severe separation anxiety, had borderline extreme aggression issues…. Really, you name it, if it was a problem, he had it. One of the more frequent and extreme issues that my dog has is thunderstorm anxiety. Before I took him to Jace, he actually got out of my apartment during a bad storm and went missing for 10 days. As you can imagine, these were the worst 10 days… by nothing short of a miracle, he was returned to me after running almost 30 miles from home… Jace actually reached out to me upon seeing we had been reunited, and offered to help. When I tell you I nearly laughed because I was convinced the only thing that would “fix” my poor dog was a one way trip to the vet, I’m not joking… but in a last ditch effort, I packed him up and sent him on his way. After a few long weeks (I also suffer from separation anxiety from my dog apparently), I was able to go down for an extended stay and see/learn about my “NEW” dog, who seemed to have had a total brain transplant. A dog that use to not be able to go for walks (ON A LEASH) because I was scared he would lunge or nip someone passing by, could now go to dinner with his head down relaxed and under control. A dog that has literally broken off teeth in kennels before, now willingly goes in and lays down calmly in a kennel, even during storms!!! Now, don’t get me wrong, this is a lifestyle change for everyone, and I am in no way perfect or following the rules to a t (sorry Jace and Jenna), but even still, the tools you are sent home with will give you and your dog confidence I didn’t think was possible. Anyways, I guess what I am trying to tell you is that it is worth it. Every dime and every day without your best friend by your side. Jace and Jenna send videos and texts nearly daily with updates, and ALWAY respond promptly to any question or concern you may have (and trust me, if they are willing to deal with my neurotic tendencies, you will be just fine!). Everyone knows the saying “you can’t teach an old dog new tricks”, and that may be true for some of us, but this team CAN. They taught my 7.5 yo nightmare new “tricks” in just a few weeks, and I am so incredibly grateful. These guys are not just dog trainers, they are life changers. Thank you all, from K and Reese!

We sent our working line Dutch Shepard (Kyber) to Jace from Good Woofer K9 for a board and train program, and the results were absolutely amazing. We hadn't ever invested in professional dog training in the past but we are so glad we chose to and especially with Good Woofer K9. It has since changed our lives and given a better one to us and our dog. Ever since having Kyber back from the program he has been a completely changed/confident dog, very obedient, attentive to every command, and does fantastic on and off leash! When we got Kyber back, Jace took the time and walked us through everything Kyber had learned. Jace also gave us updates on Kyber's progress daily and plenty of pictures/videos as well. Jace gave us the freedom to enjoy our day-to-day life with our dog on a whole new level and now allows us to take him anywhere with us and thus letting us give our dog the best life he can have! We still contact Jace regularly with any questions or training scenarios that come up and Jace is always quick to respond, very helpful and provides us with the tools the handle anything that we need to with Kyber. I can’t recommend Good Woofer K9 enough!

Jace and Jenna were great! They were amazing in our initial consultation meeting and did not fail to impress after working with my dog during the 4-week board and train program! Banjo came back to us a different dog in the best way! In the past, he struggled with reactivity to sounds, animals, moving things the list goes on! I now can take him on a walk in peace and find myself forgetting how challenging simple tasks like this used to be. He is now able to just exist in the house with us without being constantly on edge! He still is a hard-headed terrier mix but he has made so much progress and creating necessary boundaries has proved greatly important. We hope to only continue to work with him and help keep him successful!
