Good K9 Academy

Andrew and his team are FREAKING AMAZING! We have a handsome Mini Goldendoodle, Koda and he did both the private training (at 6 months) and then immediately rolled over to the 2 week board and training program. Our goal was to have Koda walk leash less and heel by our command. Everything has lived up to the hype and my husband and I couldn’t be happier. He is excellent with basic commands such as sit, come, place…but all new tricks we’ve even been able to teach him using Good K9 Academy’s methods like “paw!, Pound it, or ringing the bell after saying “let’s go outside!” Andrew and his team baby sits when we have trips, and we do pack walks on the weekends (open to his current and past clients) where he is able to see progression with our training or make some corrections if he sees something wrong. Make sure to keep up with the training that Andrew shows you at when he returns your pet to you because the real magic is what you continue to do at home! If you ever have a question in your mind about who to go to or trust..or wanting your dog to just listen to you while walking or playing outside…..trust me…you’ve found it (and NO I was not paid to say this!) I have just got the One-Week Day Training at Good K9 Academy for my 9 months old German Shepherd girl Tandy. Tandy had attended 12 sessions of dog obedience training group class in a local dog school before taking the Good K9 Academy training program. Although Tandy and I learned some basic skills from that group classes but she still pulled leash sometimes which made me very frustrated. At the Good K9 Academy training, David taught her some very useful skills including heeling and placing which made her a completely different dog. The heeling has solved all the bad habits she had at walking and placing has improved her sit/down stay ability and calmness dramatically. Moreover, Tandy reacted to windshield wiper badly before and it was successfully corrected by David which made me relieved because finally I can drive with Tandy's ride in rain. Overall, Good K9 Academy's training is very impressive and reliable. Both David and Andrew have impressed me with their professionalism and love to dogs. Really appreciate!

WOW…I can’t say enough positive things about Andrew and Good K9 Academy. I sent my 10 month old puppy to the two week board and train. Before he went, he was a super sweet and goofy, but distractive hound who pulled, wouldn’t stay, begged, wouldn’t come when called. After two weeks he is completely leash free (where appropriate). He listens, heels, comes, sits, stays in place and still just as sweet and goofy as when he left. Andrew was awesome. He sent me videos throughout the two weeks and sent me tons of updates. He answered any and all questions I had. He listened to my concerns before I dropped Mr. Baggins off and addressed all of them and worked on those issues. He explained the e-collar thoroughly and spent as much time as was needed when I picked Mr. Baggins up making sure I was comfortable with it. Im looking forward to my next adventures with Mr. Baggins knowing he’s going to have a good time; I’m super excited for the summer and being able to take him to wineries and patio happy hours and know he’ll behave as he should. The best decision I could have made for Mr. Baggins. He is an awesome K9 partner.

We sent our poorly behaved 2 year old AHT for a two week training with Good K9 Academy. We could barely take our dog on a walk due to his terrible pulling, leash aggression towards other dogs and we could also not let him off leash as he would run away. Our family cannot believe how well behaved he is, how he walks in a perfect heel, and will completely ignore other dogs now. When we have visitors at the house he will sit in place until we release him. We cannot be happier with the results from Good K9 Academy!

I have a 9 month German Shepherd puppy, he was very reactive to other dogs and people on leash and was really hard to control in public environment. I decided send him to 2 weeks bored and train with the Good K9 Academy to have him work on his social skills but also work on his commands and be less reactive. For the two weeks he was gone I would get occasional updates from the trainer about how well he was dealing with videos and sometime pictures. He looked like he was having lots of fun since he was around other dogs but also working and becoming a better and less reactive puppy. When I got him back it was almost like a night and day. He was still the same lovable and active puppy. But he was so much better at listening to his commands and actually staying put when being told too. The fact that he did not get up and go after another dog to play with was amazing to see. They went over all the training that they had worked on and showed me how to correctly go about it. And then the same day we went to PetSmart under busiest day and walked around with other dogs and people and he did amazingly really well. I'm really grateful for having him sent there because every time people interact with my dog they actually see the difference and compliment on it. Definitely worth it.
