Highly recommend Adelita and the 6 week basic training class. Adelita is fun, open to questions and offers individual feedback. She limits the amount of dogs per class making it more one on one. She takes time to let the dogs socialize and each lesson was easy to follow. We opted into taking the class twice, once when our puppy was 5 months old and the second time when she was 9 months old. Our puppy perfected her skills and we will be doing the intermediate and advanced classes with Adelita.

I have taken private lessons and the group lessons twice. I signed up with Adelita to help with my dogs anxiety early on. She was about 6 months old when we started. Adelita patiently worked with both of us. She truly understands dogs. She kept her lessons short knowing their attention span was limited. We always left with things to work on. I liked the groups lessons because we got to be around other dogs in a controlled environment. Adelita’s lessons were easy to follow. She broke everything down to one step at a time. Great teacher. I loved working with her and I’m sure I will be taking more lessons in the future.

Highly recommend trainer! Adel is professional , personable and ready to help cater each lesson to the group and individual needs. We have two dogs large (95lb) intact males that we took from the ages of 4/5months to 2 years. Between the two of them we took classes 7-8 times. They never took classes together as it would be distracting to have a housemate/brother there while you are trying to learn. We took the classes multiple times not because they weren’t working, but because they worked so well! After going through the class twice and learning the techniques Adel teaches, we were able to reinforce our training with continued exposure to other dogs in a safe constructive environment. Training doesn’t stop after one class, you need to constantly reinforce training and behavior. So it made sense to do this in a group setting around dogs that were unknown to our boys and weren’t going to be in play mode causing a distraction. Adel keeps the lessons short and sweet to help parents and pups all stay focused. You learn a lot in a short amount of time so pay attention and ask questions if you are confused on how to do something. You might not be the only one and you could get selected to work the technique in front of everyone which helps you and others too. Between classes it is up to you to work on the lessons at home every week. 10-15 mins a day, twice a day worked very well for us practicing at home. If you are struggling with some of your leash and collar/harness set up, Adel is always ready to make a helpful suggestion and even let you treat drive something new during class to see how it feels if she has it available. Show up a few minutes early to set up your spot, let the dog do its business before class and settle in. Most importantly, don’t stress out. Try to have fun and make it fun for your pup. They are very keen to respond to how we feel. Don’t feel silly for making funny sounds and voices at your pup, it’s all part of the process. Enjoy the moment, they grow up fast and before you know it you’ll have a well behaved canine on your side. *In a high pitched squeaky voice* “THIS WAY! “
