My family took in our beautiful brindle pit-mix as a temporary foster situation back in December. It was a foster fail of epic proportions, but she was starting to grow on us, so after much discussion and back-and-forth, we decided to keep her. Reba was found living at a gas station, and it was clear from the start that you can take the dog out of the gas station, but you can't take the gas station out of the dog...until we found Terie and Good Dog! Coaching and Pet Care, LLC. Terie and her team took Reba in and transformed our loveable (towards us), territorial, protective, loud barker, jumper, resource guarder, and counter surfer into a prized pupil in just 4 weeks! We just got Reba back and oh my word, what a difference!! She no longer has me spinning in circles on our walks-she actually stays in a heel position, and she does not just dart here, there, and everywhere anytime she sees a squirrel, rabbit, deer, or other dog. Reba no longer runs to freedom out of an open door-she sits patiently waiting to be invited to cross the threshold. She sits and stays in her "place" and wags her tail excitedly with every command because she is spending quality time with her favorite humans and being praised continuously and rewarded for her actions. We are thrilled with the results and the education that Reba got, but also the education that we got. We realized we were doing it all wrong and had created a lot of the problems we were dealing with. Watching the daily videos they post (not just of Reba but all the dogs they are working with) helps us tremendously. Terie and her team at Good Dog! Coaching and Pet Care, LLC are simply AMAZING!!! Good Dog Coaching is the best!!! My nine month old doggy was highly energetic, stubborn and the destroyer of anything he could get his teeth on. He was also timid and easily frightened. Then he started marking his territory with urine, which was the final straw. I didn’t have the skills or the time to give him the training that he needed, so I reached out to Terie at Good Dog Coaching. She was able to basically work miracles with my pup! He’s a polite boy now with good manners and he’s accustomed to the things that used to terrify him, such as riding in a car, loud noises, areas with lots of people, strange dogs, etc. She also spent time training me on how to handle him moving forward and is always available to answer any questions that come up. It’s been great working with them!

I can’t recommend Terie and Good Dog enough! A few years ago, Shin completed Terie’s 4-week Board & Train program, and the transformation was incredible. Before training, he constantly chewed household items whenever he was left alone, and he would get carsick on almost every ride. After training, those behaviors were gone. He became a much calmer, more confident, and well-mannered dog. The training didn’t just change Shin’s behavior—it made everyday life so much easier for both of us. Since then, Terie has also been the only person I completely trust to board Shin whenever I travel. Knowing that he’s with someone who truly understands him allows me to fully enjoy my vacation without worrying. Instead of wondering if he’s okay, I know he’s safe, loved, and having the time of his life. This most recent stay was especially special. I honestly believe it was the happiest summer Shin has ever had in his five years. Seeing all the photos and videos of him running, playing, swimming, and smiling made me so happy. Our puppy, Milo was placed in the Board & Train program with Terie Hansen at Good Dog Coaching. THIS WAS THE BEST DECISION EVER! Milo was your basic busy puppy and we were in over our heads as far as training goes. He was such a sweet boy but was puppy biting, lunging and jumping on us, dragging us around on the leash, pottying in the house and in his crate. He got into everything and just wouldn't listen. We didn't get any sleep and we knew this could not go on much longer. We were going to have a large dog with bad manners so we did lots of research and decided to call Terie. While Milo was in her program, she made Facebook videos so we could see what all he was learning and watch him grow into such a good and well behaved dog. Since bringing him home, Milo is still so sweet yet so well behaved. He knows and obeys our commands, he listens, he has manners. He is so much fun to have around. This is a good dog we can live with. Terie and her team did an incredible job helping Milo be his best self. THANK YOU TERIE AND TEAM! WE ARE FOREVER GREATFUL!

I highly recommend Terie and her team. We sent our 8-month-old Australian Cattle Dog mix, Sunny, to Terie’s four-week board and train program, and the transformation has been absolutely unbelievable. Before the program, Sunny was incredibly rambunctious. She was a massive leash puller with an intense prey drive, had zero recall skills, and would constantly jump, play-nip, and vocally react to everything from passing cars to people. Most concerning to us was how aggressively she played with our two young daughters (ages 7 and 9). Terie completely changed all of that, but what was even more notable was the way she transformed us. She taught our entire family how to lead with confidence. Now, my girls can easily command Sunny to place, heel her perfectly, and be the leaders she so badly needed. If you send your dog here, do the homework! Read the books and materials Terie provides while your dog is working magic with her team. Invest in your dog and you will watch yourself change, too. We learned how to become more confident and controlled with our own emotions—there is absolutely no more need to scream "NO!" at the top of your lungs.
