My boyfriend and I adopted our 3 year old Rottweiler, Roxie, in September 2025. We didn’t know much about her past, but we were told she had been in several foster homes before coming to us. When we first brought Roxie home, she showed signs of reactivity. A friend recommended Good Dawg Training after having a great experience with their German Shepherd. Since starting with Good Dawg Training in October 2025, Roxie has made incredible progress. Colette gave us exercises to help build Roxie’s confidence and feel more secure in her surroundings and with us ☺️ She also provided my boyfriend and me with practical tools and techniques to continue training at home and in public settings. In the beginning, when we walked Roxie and she saw another dog, she would immediately fixate, lunge and bark. Using what we learned from Colette, we’ve been able to help Roxie stay calm and keep her focus on us when triggers arise. She loves people, but she felt vulnerable around other dogs and now she shows so much more confidence and self-control. After 5 months of consistent training, Roxie’s reactivity has truly improved. We are so grateful for the guidance and support from Good Dawg Training!

We can not recommend Colette enough! She is so kind, knowledgable, and truly an expert at what she does. We adopted our rescue pup Indie from Compassion without Boarders, and Good Dawg Training came highly recommended. Collette at Good Dawg Training has been an absolute game-changer for our puppy. Her approach is thoughtful, professional, and tailored to each dog’s needs. She structures her puppy socials to separate shy and reserved dogs, allowing them to come out of their shell on their own terms, and always ends socials on a calm, positive note. Just this method alone has helped our toy Australian Shepherd gain confidence, enjoy interactions, and start thriving in ways we never thought possible. Before finding Collette, we had a frustrating experience at K9 Activity Club. We signed up for puppy socials and training expecting guidance and support, but our puppy became increasingly fearful and reactive. Larger puppies were overwhelming, staff gave conflicting advice, and when she was cornered and showing fear, we were told to do nothing. The training felt unstructured, and by the end, she was more anxious and reactive than when we started. Paying $300 and leaving with a fearful, stressed dog was incredibly disappointing. With Collette, we’ve started private training and already see how experienced, caring, and effective she is. Our puppy’s transformation has been remarkable, from fearful and reactive to confident and happy. Collette’s guidance has restored our trust in training and shown us what true, thoughtful puppy socialization and training should be.
