Melanie is a true dog whisperer. Our rescue Scottie stole our hearts but came with some behavior issues we were not equipped to handle. He had a very high prey drive and strong resource guarding (of me). Melanie worked with both of us and Scottie’s real personality shined. He is a proud graduate of her program. I love that I can still reach out after 6 months and work through behavior “surprises” and share his antics with her. Highly recommend Good Dawg NJ to anyone wanting their best friend to be the best they can be.

Melanie of Good Dawg NJ is the BEST dog trainer we have ever used. She offers great packages, customized to the owners/dogs needs. I couldn’t be happier! Honestly, our dog is an anxious rescue and Melanie has helped her tremendously! Don’t wait, Mel is your girl!

Melanie is the best. We brought Chewie to her knowing basic commands, but still a little quirky. She was gentle but firm and transformed Chewie into the dog I always knew he could be. I can now take him just about anywhere with me confident that he will be well behaved! We're looking forward to continuing to work with Melanie on more advanced skills.

We have one of the quirkiest dogs I have ever encountered. When we found out we were having a baby, we knew we needed professional help. Melanie was highly recommended to us from a friend. Melanie has been a huge help with obedience training and working through her quirks. We can actually take our dog for walks now, something we were not able to do before training. We would definitely recommend Melanie for your dog training needs.
