Good CitiZEN Dog

I had a consultation meeting with Deborah to determine if my older dog would be able to get along well with my new kitten and was thoroughly impressed at how much progress and how much I learned in just one session. Deborah exhibited a deep understanding of the science behind her methods and helped me communicate with my dog much better than previous trainers I had gone to. She gave me a toolbox of training methods and now training is much easier, less tense, and I'm seeing more progress in my dog than I ever thought I would be able to.

I started my pup in Deborah's puppy kindergarten classes and progressed through her subsequent classes, up through Canine Good Citizen. Then puppy teenagehood hit, and we got to deal with some oh-so-fun secondary fear phase issues (my giant mastiff/st. bernard adolescent suddenly scared and reactive to everything). My commiserations to anyone who's had to deal with that frustrating adolescent phase!! So, we contacted Deborah again and joined her Reactive Dog Class. It was SO helpful! It's designed with a great structure: My dog gets lots of helpful new challenges every class, through proximity practice with dogs, people, bikes/scooters, etc. I love that Deborah has each class in a new venue, which keeps my dog practicing his comfort level with "newness" and learning to adjust to a range of situations.

Deborah Rosen is the best dog trainer around. We started with a 8 week old pup who is doing great. The zen concept has worked so well. Everything from the basic obedience to advanced training and socializing. Our pup is now 9 months and we can take her anywhere. She will wait on command, she doesn’t bolt out the door when opened, she stays off the counters along with sit, stay, and down just to name a few. Zen really gets the dogs attention and focuses them on you and what is being asked of them. Deborah is great with all dogs and all people. We are very lucky to have found her and I would recommend her to anyone!
