Golden State Canine

My dog came back completely untrained, I'm unsure how or why that happened. The trainer was supposed to show me what he taught her but was allegedly sick so he was unable to do so when I picked her up after the 5 weeks she stayed there. I told the trainer the next day after picking her up that she seemed untrained and he told me that she was just excited to be back home and he still needed to teach me how to handle her. We scheduled a session so he could show me how to handle her but it got cancelled due to the rain which is understandable but then when I tried to reschedule with him he didn't answer any of my calls or texts anymore. Which I feel like double confirmed my suspicion of her not having been trained. Eventually I stopped reaching out and ended up disputing the charges with my bank for services not rendered and won the dispute.

This is LONG overdue review. Aby trained my stubborn 1 year old dog argentino in 5 weeks in his bootcamp. My dog was challenging to train for me, as she was not food motivated at all, and she would spit out the treats instead of eating them when trained. She was absolutely perfect when we picked her up but now almost 1.5 year later my dog: - perfectly walks on leash ( heels, and never pulls even on loose leash) - has perfect recall off leash ( even when there are other dogs nearby or distractions) - knows how to play with dogs when I let her - never jumps on bed uninvited - goes to her cage or her spot and stays there without complaining - she can be taken everywhere, from hotels, stores, wineries, and behaves perfectly: just waits by my side. - ignores other dogs passing, bikes, skateboards - of course knows all the commands like sit, lay down etc and does them on and off leash. We always get people commenting how well trained she is. My dog was able to learn all of that in 5 weeks with Aby. Aby was her third trainer and the previous two ( 8 weeks bootcamp combined - and one was police dog trainer) were not able to accomplish any of it. So yes, I decided to get my dog to Aby in Orange County from Oregon, because I knew Aby will be able to train her. He trained dogo I previously had, when I lived in Bay Area. Both my husband and I agreed, that next time we get a dog we will ship it straight to Aby, as there is no sense in saying other trainers.

Aby is truly a dog whisperer! I was recommended his name by a coworker who used her own dog for therapy. My child was struggling with behaviours and was attached to our dog. But our dog was quite hyper, stubborn, and not complaint. Despite me training our dog it was difficult to get her to obey any forms of commands. She would pull forward on walks, she would be triggered by the littlest things like squirrels or other dogs. She would be timid and shy and fearful of many things. She’s a sweet dog. But she was play focused all the time. In comes Aby. The second he walked into our home our dog was quiet as a mouse when before she would bark terrifyingly. Through weeks of training my dog was able to heel, walk beside me, obey my commands, and so much more. Aby walked me through each step and gave us weekly homework that could be very manageable in our busy schedules. Happy to report that our Dog passed the CGC exam and got her certificate! Not only that our dog became an emotional support dog for our child. Truly amazed! Our dog learnt to lay down near our child to regulate her emotions. She was never been able to do this before! I learnt so much with Aby about dog behaviours and what to look for which I’m sure is super limited! He has a wealth of knowledge and an amazing skill! You won’t be disappointed with his services. We were so happy with his services!

I began puppy lessons with Aby when Nala was 3 months old. Aby guided me in how to utilize crate training, hand feeding, and structured walks to expose Nala to the world. Nala quickly adapted to the world and became an extremely calm dog. This lead to Nala and I exploring Therapy Pet training. With Aby's expertise Nala passed her test by age 2 and is now providing pet therapy to students and staff weekly in a school district. Nala calms students with anxiety and when students are overwhelmed. Aby was essential in supporting supported Nala and I to becoming a pet therapy team!

I will try to keep this short and to the point. I've known Aby for a few years now. I met him at a sport dog training group where he was training his two dogs. His handling was clear and his dogs really enjoyed working with him. I also had seen his client dogs and how well trained his clients were. The amount of hard work he put into them and his coaching style with others was impressive. I was fortunate to get the opportunity to work with him with my personal dog Freyja. I had been obsessing over our "heel" and felt I was making slow progress. In working with Aby, he was able to give clear direction on what steps I needed to add and where I needed to take steps back. We made solid progress and I was able to take my dog to the level I had been working so hard for. Aby is realistic when it comes to the goals you are looking for. He will tell you like it is, even if you may not want to hear it. If you trust in Aby and his training program, you and your dog will see realistic, real-world results. He will push you to be the absolute best you can be. I would 100% recommend prospective clients to take the first step. You won't be disappointed.
