Golden Hour Dog Training

My family and I adopted our first puppy this winter and we're so beyond happy we chose Emily and Golden Hour to get us schooled in the basics. Our girl Luna is a large lady with even bigger energy but she took to Emily's training plan like a champ. It was great that our kids were also brought in to "doggy school" sessions to understand safe and appropriate interactions with our new pup. Emily came to our home (which was a huge bonus for us!) and provided resources to refer back to as we built upon material from previous sessions. We have had so much fun watching Luna grow and change over these last few months and we cannot say enough about how much we appreciate Emily's thoughtful and positive reinforcement based approach to helping us understand our dog. Our family truly loved our experience with Golden Hour and will definitely be calling Emily for her assistance with future furry additions to our home.

I won a month of Manners and More group class. I brought my puppy and I can’t believe the difference in her obedience and the helpful tools that Emily taught us for public and private redirecting! Being able to ask questions regarding other issues as well was super helpful. Emily is so nice and very great with all our dogs. I noticed a change in all the dogs in class! 10/10 have and will again recommend!

Emily came to our Girl Scout meeting and did a presentation for the girls. They learned signs of a stressed dog and what resource guarding is. This will hopefully help them to not be bitten by a dog. She also explained to them how to become a dog trainer and the different places she could work as a trainer.They concluded with a fun game of Jeopardy and she even managed to get them all to talk, which isn't always easy with 9-12 year olds.Our troop highly recommends having Golden Hour out to do a presentation for your group/troop.
