Golden Heart Canine

We recently put our ten--month-old Golden Retriever, Journey, in a two week board and train at Golden Heart Canine. We are so very pleased with our experience and, mostly, with the positive changes in our impulsive and passive-aggressive (LOL) girl. We were kept apprised of Journey's progress with daily Facebook posts - Journey along with the other dogs, just enjoying being dogs in a grassy yard and meadow - as well as two or three Journey-specific videos. Prior to pickup, we received an extensive email, first providing personalized feedback on Journey's specific issues. Then there were several pages of step-by-step instructions for us to continue working on the foundation elements GHC laid with Journey: settle, table manners and "leave it", wait, heel, stay, recall, and polite greetings. They also worked on a few other specific issues we were having with Journey. On pickup day, Rachelle spent quite a bit of time with us, first showing us Journey's new manners and explaining them and then having us actually go through the exercises with her. Rachelle answered all our questions and invited us back for a follow-up session (included in cost). In continuing the exercises at home, we can say Journey is much more of a joy to be around, she is calmer and more attentive to us, and knows her commands well. Having her at GHC was definitely a game-changer for us and Journey. I highly recommend GHC for anyone considering a board and train experience for their hard-to-manage dog. It truly makes a huge difference!

Can't say enough good things about Becca and her team. I have had dogs professionally trained before, but not in Colorado so we were happy to find a team so close to home. The results in our dog speak for themselves, but the time that Becca spent with us afterwards was incredibly helpful. She took as much time as we needed to practice and ask questions. We would definitely recommend Golden Hearts and use them again if given the chance!
