Golan Dogs

It was an absolute pleasure working with Golan! His training techniques were effective with my 2 year old lab mix, Cyrus, but more importantly, he guided me every step of the way. Golan gently and kindly corrected my behavior when I made mistakes and gave me the confidence to continue Cyrus' training on my own. I also really appreciated that Golan is very responsive. He would send a text message to confirm our session usually the day before (so helpful!!), and if I had a concern I wanted to address I would send him a text letting him know and he would come to our next session prepared to make changes! Cyrus and I are very grateful for Golan's help and support!

This review is long overdue. Anyways, I was in the need of a dog trainer to help with my 1 year old corgi's aggressive behavior. He would constantly bark at other dogs at the sight of them and pulls on the leash. I spent a lot of time researching but Golan had the most affordable rates. I ended up going with the 4-day training with him. At first, I was a bit hesitant because 4 days is not a lot of time to correct a dog's behavior but Golan really impressed me. My corgi is completely different on walks now. He does still randomly bark at other dogs but since quarantine, we've literally spent zero amount of time at the dog parks so he gets very excited when he sees other dogs. Hopefully that'll change when we're able to visit the dog parks normally again. His pulling pretty much is non existent. He is super well mannered on his walks and Golan somehow got him to only walk on my left side so no more criss-crossing with the leash. I'm pleasantly surprised with Golan's training and would definitely recommend him to any dog parents who needs their dog professionally trained. Thanks again, Golan!

I don't often write reviews but I feel I owe it to any dog parent who is searching for a board and train. Golan is a rare find, he is the real deal. We worked with 3 dog trainers before Golan but there is no comparison, his knowledge, skill set and training method is far superior. He has an astonishingly profound understanding of dog behavior and is loving and kind. We took our two puppy French bulldogs for a 3 week program and are truly blown away by the results. They came back transformed. If you have a dog, you owe it to them and yourself to seek out Golan. His daily communication was remarkable, he truly cared about Kona and Koko! He made sure we felt comfortable and informed every step of the way. Highly, unequivocally, and unreservedly recommended!

I put my dog KIBA in Golan Dogs 3 week boarding program and I came back with great results. Like putting your kids in summer camp, they will get more from 3 weeks then compared to one. My dog is very vocal and prior to training he barked at anyone he heard in our apartment complex hallway. My dog also had some anxiety from his former living situation. There was several situations where he would interact with other people and freak out... he would cower between my legs and bark like crazy... this happened multiple times but mostly with tall men. Golans training overall made my dog more well behaved. He does not bark at people in the hallway and he approaches strangers with curiosity and puppy love - no more fear! He is also much more responsive when I correct him if he does any unwanted behavior. My dog received a lot of off leash training and became familiar with sit, down, stay, and heel. I was amazed when my dog was able to stay for long periods of time, and how he would not budge when I moved 50-100ft away from him and also inbetween obstacles. The additional training sessions provided with the 3 week package were very helpful as Golan also trained me on how to handle my dog. He provided great tips and corrected my behavior. After all, you cant get mad at your dog if you are instructing him incorrectly. I really enjoyed the results I got and would recommend others do the full 3 week program. I also suggest you dont come pick up your dog on the weekends as I believe that was option. Picking up your dog will only ruin the personal relationship that golan is building with your dog and can ruin training. I appreciate that golan provided feedback to me on my dogs personal quirks. He really cares about your animal and is very professional. Golan sent me progress pictures and updates throughout the entire program. It may be hard leaving your dog with someone for 3 weeks but it's worth the results. Thank you Golan and any tall men who walked KIBA and helped him get over his fears! -Diego
