I am so thankful my dog and I were able to meet Golan. My dog was very reactive before his training with Golan Dogs, and I became extremely worried that my dog might bite someone if I didn't take action soon. Golan provided me with the right guidance and helped me quickly learn that in adjusting my own actions, Arlo's reactivity would lessen. Arlo went from not being able to walk past someone down a street without freezing/barking, to accepting pets from strangers in various settings. Although I had a lot to learn, Golan was patient yet prepared with his suggestions. He helped me allow my dog to be more confident, and I couldn't ask for more. Thank you so much Golan!

I contacted Golan because my 10 year old dog had developed severe noise phobia. It was so bad that even tearing aluminum foil or closing a Tupperware lid would make him run and hide. I contacted Golan because my 10 year old dog had developed severe noise phobia. It was so bad that even tearing aluminum foil or closing a Tupperware lid would make him run and hide. Before contacting Golan I took my dog to vet to get help for the problem. The vet tried Xanax, Valium, Prozac and Trazodone but none of the medications helped. I think the Prozac even made his phobia worse. I asked my vet to refer my dog to a neurologist to see if a brain issue might be his problem. The neurologist did an MRI and a spinal tab. Both tests showed that he was fine. The neurologist said that his problem was probably a behavioral issue. I did a web search looking for a trainer that knows how to deal with anxiety issues. I found Golan and we spoke on the phone. I described the problem and he said that he thought he could resolve the issue with 4 training sessions. I really didn’t think this would be possible but I tried everything else. Golan came out to my house and observed my dog and also how I interacted with him. It turns out almost everything I was doing to comfort my dog was actually making his phobia worse. Golan showed me how to properly deal with the anxiety and noise phobia issue. I was happily surprised to see that after the third session the noise phobia had greatly improve. Now my little guy is the happy, playful dog he was before he developed the horrible noise phobia. I wish I would have found Golan a year ago.

Golan is a highly-qualified professional. That was apparent from Day 1. He knows what he’s doing and clearly backs it up with years of experience. We had a GSD puppy who had, besides normal puppy behavior, severe separation anxiety and a taste for aggressive curiosity. From the moment Golan showed up it was non-stop education and drills for not only the puppy, but my GF and I aswell. He had to train us as well as the puppy. The drills and training was almost instant gratification but he emphasized that this would be a constant routine that needed to be implemented into our daily schedules. Although we only had 8 sessions of training, those 8 sessions have made such a huge impact on our puppy and us as dog owners. I would highly recommend anyone to Golan and I’m sure we will be signing up for more training classes in the future. 10/10.
