I happened to foster a dog recently that my family fell in love with quickly and then decided to adopt him. However, we were nervous if we could handle him as a 6 month old foxhound, our first dog. I was recommended Heather for a trainer, and she is absolutely amazing. She’s very patient and accessible to talk to. We video-conferenced our training sessions and that didn’t impede the quality of training. She taught me many important things starting from the basics and then focusing on more specific issues we experienced, like leash-biting or counter-surfing. After 3 sessions, I already saw an improvement in our dog Max, and we’re continuing practicing with him. I would highly recommend this training to anyone. It was a great experience for me!

Heather with Gnawty Dog Academy helped my very unruly Shepherd / Malinois foster "Liberty." With Heather's patients and professional ways of training I saw so much remarkable Improvement consistently. Everything about the training experience was positive and Heather communicated very well. Liberty also was calmer, happier and had less anxiety because of her training. With Heather's awesome suggestion she went from being very dog reactive to gradually going to a doggie daycare and doing outstanding there! I have never seen her so happy as she was when I would pick her up from finally being able to play "dog." She was adopted soon after her obedience graduation.
