I called and left a message about their program. Had my call returned within a few hours and all my questions answered. Was able to go in to have an in person evaluation for one of my dog's temperament and feasibility for service dog training. We have been attending weekly training for about 2 months now working toward being a diabetic alert dog. I have had years of various experience with obedience, dog showing, and foster work. I have found their training methods so far to be very effective when guidance is followed. They are very knowledgeable in service dog laws and able to educate me on the proper etiquette for us in public. Glad Wags stands behind their service teams with the dogs vests even carrying their name.

My dog and I have both learned so much from attending the weekly obedience classes Marj offers. We started attending together when he was 9 weeks old, and he has learned so much from the training class over the past few months, as well as from being around other dogs in the classes that have been attending for far longer and observing them. The training is practical, easy to do at home between sessions, and Marj is a wealth of knowledge and always willing to answer questions and offer suggestions. She is passionate about animals, their well being, and teaching them to be well behaved, which makes her an excellent trainer.

5 years ago, our daughter was diagnosed with severe Tourette Syndrome (TS) and Functional Neurological Disorder (FND). Her tics and episodes are so severe, she is unable to do the most basic tasks that we all take for granted. In our years long search for something else that could help her, we came across another person with TS that had a service dog. We began the search and found Glad Wags in Tulsa, and learned that they had trained other service dogs for clients with TS. We reached out and spoke with Marj, the owner/ trainer and our life has not been the same since. 10 months ago, after the application process, we were matched with Luna, a female Blue Heeler. She was scent trained for several months and then we came to the training center to train with her. Within the first few hours of meeting our daughter, Luna was already alerting her prior to an episode. We absolutely could not believe what we were seeing. They have been inseparable since. Luna will alert to major tics, fainting episodes and will apply therapeutic pressure to our daughter'e chest/ lap when she passes out. There have been several times that she has accurately notified us that something was happening with our daughter while she was in a different room. Luna goes everywhere with our daughter: to school, church, on airplanes....everywhere. Marj's training process is just that...a process. Some might call it strict...But she has been training dogs for over 50 years and her experience shows. She is very transparent on the process/ time line/ cost. There is no question going in that there are many "rules" to follow, but the rules are in place for a reason. It is very much a "trust the process" situation and there is nothing hidden and no surprises. She lays it all out from the beginning. We can reach out to her, even now, with any questions/ concerns at any time. Moreover, Marj absolutely LOVES these dogs and they LOVE her. She was a blast to be around and our daughter adored her (and her purple hair!). Lastly, all of her dogs are rescued in some way. Luna was a stray that someone had abandoned. Being able to save her life as well as having her save ours is the icing on the cake. Had we known how much Luna would help our daughter, we would've done this years ago and paid double. Luna has changed all of our lives and is the biggest blessing. We are so thankful to Marj and the Glad Wags team for giving us the best gift! They will be our family forever! "Let's go to work!"
