Specializing in rescue and fearful dogs, Giffy dog’s certified trainers provide compassionate coaching and support for people who live with challenging dogs and those who want to develop deeper relationships with their canine companions. We offer a unique variety of classes, private consultations, and seminars, including clicker foundations, confidence-building, and an “out and about” class--to help people walk easily in public spaces with their dogs. All offerings are designed to help people build satisfying relationships with their dogs based on trust, respect--and play. At Giffy dog, we strive to make training a joy for people and their dogs.

We will help you and your dog build a great relationship by teaching you to calmly and confidently interact with one another. Cheryl is freakin' awesome with dogs. Our dog Nellie was a rescue who needed some help adjusting to certain situations, and Cheryl was able to quickly help us diagnose, understand why she was feeling and acting a certain way, and give us great strategies to fix and correct the behavior. she is loving, and will help you and your dog grow together. She's awesome.

Cheryl does a fantastic job with shy dogs and helping them build their confidence! Not only did our dog, Maisy, get so much more comfortable over time but I saw other dogs in the class completely transform over the weeks. Cheryl is wonderful with "training" the owners too, since we have a lot of learning to do in order to train our dogs, too! She explains the process clearly and the classes are very hands on! We loved our time with Cheryl and Giffy Dog!
The dogs and the owners work on many different activities to help the dogs get used to other people and get more confident. It was very cool to see the dogs progress.
Had a good training session yesterday with Cheryl of Giffy Dog Training, Cheryl is experienced working with shy & fearful dogs which my Teddy is. Teddy and I have a lot to work on for the next few weeks but I feel confident we’re headed in the right direction with Cheryl’s guidance, advice and instructions thanks Cheryl for your help and support.
