We truly can’t say enough great things about our experience working with Val and Gian to train our dog, Oakley. From the very beginning, Val set the tone for a professional, thoughtful, and well-structured process. She took the time to walk us through exactly how the training works, what methods would be used, and what kind of results we could realistically expect. That level of transparency immediately gave us confidence and made us feel like we were in great hands. One thing that really stood out was Val’s flexibility and willingness to work with our schedule. We had to adjust dates to align with some vacation time, and she went above and beyond to accommodate us. That made the entire experience much less stressful and showed how much she genuinely cares about both the dogs and their owners. When it came to the actual training, Gian was incredible. He took the time to understand not just Oakley’s personality, but also our family dynamic and what we specifically wanted out of the training. He was extremely patient and intentional in his approach, and you could immediately tell that he has a deep understanding of how dogs think, learn, and respond. He didn’t just train Oakley—he built a connection with him, which made a huge difference in the results. The transformation in Oakley has been nothing short of amazing. Before training, he was much more wild and difficult to manage, especially around the kids. Now, he is calm, well-behaved, and responsive. He walks right beside us—both on leash and off leash—and is able to stay in sync with our family, even with our children walking alongside him. It’s honestly like having a completely different dog. What really sets this experience apart, though, is that Gian didn’t just focus on Oakley—he focused on us as well. He made sure that we, as owners, and even our kids, understood how to reinforce the training at home. He gave us the tools, techniques, and confidence to continue building on what Oakley has learned. That kind of empowerment is invaluable because it means the training doesn’t stop when the sessions are over. We now feel fully equipped to continue training Oakley for years to come, and that’s a direct result of the time, care, and expertise that both Val and Gian invested in us. If you’re looking for trainers who are knowledgeable, patient, flexible, and truly passionate about what they do, we would highly recommend them without hesitation. I cannot possibly say enough wonderful things about Gian and his board and train program. My 4lb Chihuahua rescue who was filled with so much fear that it turned into agression. Chica is now living her best life thanks to Gian’s expertise and years of knowledge. She enjoys listening and being lovingly brave. I, as her owner also received training and learned a lot about not what to do; I am the pack leader. His wife Val works side by side with Gian and made the whole process smooth and perfect. Even though I missed Chica so very much I never once worried about her safety or wellbeing. This is not a sit, lay down, rollover, shake etc. kind of program. This was getting into Chica’s little head and finding out what makes her tick. The result is amazing and she received a whole new attitude and happiness.
