Get Pawsitive Dog Training offers a variety of group training classes both in Vista and Encinitas for pet parents looking to create a positive, long-lasting relastionship with their dog. Private, in-home training for common behavior issues such as fear, aggression, separation anxiety, or basic puppy behaviors is also available. Trainers at Get Pawsitive are all professional, certified positive trainers through the Karen Pryor Academy or Victoria Stilwell Academy, and only train using proven science-based methods. Want to work on fixing: barking, jumping, pulling, not listening, biting...they can help! They coach and train you using positive reinforcement so you can have a well-behaved dog who listens and can live happily ever after with!

I started working with Patti when I moved with my reactive dog to San Diego, having no idea how difficult a transition it would be for him. We were in a bad situation & I'd started to fear I'd need to rehome him. Thank the universe I found Patti. She was so empathetic to our situation & had a variety of coping skills she taught us that helped immediately; while we were able to work on his deeper issues over time. She drove out of her way to see us; she offers all the support you could ever hope for, even offering Zoom during pandemic; she arranged for sessions @ an obstacle course for us to train at! Patti & I remain in contact & my dog & I use her teachings daily. My 10 yr old dog continues to improve with consistent practice. It doesn't happen overnight, but it does happen. Patti's teachings helped me keep my dog, I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is Pawsitively a lifesaver!
Sarah was wonderful! We really enjoyed our puppy training and she gave us a good foundation to continue to train our puppy. It was fun for him, rewarding, and is a great value. Charlie (our doggo) loves his magic mat and his recalls are awesome. Thanks Sarah!
Lol, I didn’t really think it would work. On practice session 5 Nessie “settled” on the mat with major distractions, just like Sarah Surritt said she would. Soon we’ll be ready for another class, I can’t keep up with your speed so I need practice time between classes. Thank you for being here for us and our pets.
Dogs and owners in he San Diego and Encinitas area are so lucky to have Sarah Surritt training their dogs! She is professional, friendly, and the positive dog training methods she and her team use are really effective.
