We loved basic obedience with Adriana!! I came in looking to reestablish some rules and manners after some changes in the house had my hound, Marley pushing the limits with barking and other negative behaviors. Not only has it helped his obedience but Marley is an all around better dog now! He can now walk off leash (in certain situations) and is much more patient. The training activities were fun and easy to practice at home. Adriana made sure to cover the basics while also accommodating questions and helping with specific needs. While it is intensive for a month, 2x per week worked great for us rather than spreading it out over several months. We have already suggested Georgia Dog Trainer to several friends with new dogs and we will definitely consider coming back for more classes at some point. (Maybe parkour?!)

We had a great experience working with Adrianna on dog obedience. We went through the four-week basic obedience course and it was so helpful. We covered a lot of ground, but my dog progressed so much. I liked the 2x/week format, because we were able to practice the new techniques and then ask questions about what we learned, or other things, within a short time. In addition to really enjoying the course, Adrianna is also great to work with. Before we adopted our dog from the Animal shelter, she came out and met the dog, so that we could better determine if the dog were a good fit for our family. She's knowledgeable about dog behavior and explains why dogs behave a certain way and why things work a certain way.

5 stars are not enough for Adriana! I adopted a VERY fearful shepherd mix from a local shelter in December, and was living in a complete nightmare with her and my other dog, a small terrier mix. They were not getting along at ALL to the point that it felt dangerous, Lisey (the rescue) was afraid of EVERYTHING, and I was in tears every day. After meeting with another trainer who clearly just wasn’t going to be a good fit for us, I was truly ready to give up. I called Adriana on a recommendation from the Athens Humane Society, and she came out the next day just to evaluate our situation to see if it was fixable. Within two sessions, I had two different dogs! It was and is amazing. Now 5 weeks into this adoption, Lisey and Bowie are bonded and playing nicely, and Lisey is more confident every day...from cowering in the corner and terrified to go outside, to walking perfectly at heel in busy neighborhoods. And, my spoiled rotten little guy is now learning actual manners! :) Adriana will work with each person/family’s specific needs, and it is clear she truly wants to help and cares about the animals and their owners. No one size fits all approach with her! My dogs LOVE her! She trained me as much as anything, and gave me the confidence that we could make it. I can not recommend highly enough! She also works with shelter dogs to train them to make them more adoptable. 🥺 The Athens community is lucky to have her!!!
